This song has probably my favorite rustage line of all time "I'm not a God or a tyrant just a man with a hat that I won in the violence" is such a hard line.

I'm not a man more a symbol more a story for my people told through poetry and minstrels the web of times a thread of lives all caught up in the spindles but the virtues we embrace ensures our lights will never dwindle Cause I stand atop a kingdom built on blood and bones and fallen foes From kings and dukes and peasants youth we pledge our lives and swore an oath a heavy hand must press the wounds and hold it close to call us home until our words all wash away until we let the water flow 🔥

1:41 You prob already know by this point but Mordred was Arthur's son. In many stories the mother being Morgan le Fay Arthur's half sister who gas s€x with him while he slep or used magic to look like Arthur's wife. After revealing him self to be the king's son and getting rejected but still believing him self to be the rightful heir to the throne he led an uprising while Arthur was away. After returning Arthur's and Mordred's forces battle Mordred and Arthur killing each other. (Of couse this is just one of the many versions of the story and i left out stuff to not make it too long.)

'My blades stay long how I Edward shank em' Is referring to king Edward I of England, also known as Edward Longshanks

I love that last line Rustage gives before the outro chorus. Till the tams run since it's prophesized Arthur would return when the tams run in reverse

Missed one "pens are draggin" full name was Arthur Pendragon. Also, history leason - yes but minor correction King John was magna carta was 1200s Cromwell was civil war in 1600s

also probably a refrence to the "Panzer Dragoon" series of games. wouldn't be a Rustage rap without at least one random reference.

Hilarious how many References he can fold into one line. "You best call Saint George because my Pens A Dragon" - St George the Dragon Slayer Pens a dragon - Arther Pendragon (His name) That Random Reference to a video game that someone else suggested.

That was a worthwhile history lesson we definitely need more King Arthur representation In Nerdcore because the King Arthur mythos has had such an impact on history that he might as well have existed

You're right, this is quite literally a history lesson. I completely missed the Uthred the Unready reference first time I heard it.

History Lesson: The legend of King Arthur was based on the Welsh King Artorius who fought against the invading Anglo-Saxons. It was also a major history plot in Vinland Saga.
@DashBolt5 ай бұрын
So that's why Saber is Artoria
@Shwabados5 ай бұрын
That isn't really true, there is no single person that the legend of king Arthur is based on, and Artorius shares almost zero similarities with the common canon of Arthurian legends

I really hope overly sarcastic productions see this song i reckon they would love it since they also do history lessons

The ''my blades stay long how i edward shank 'em'' is a reference to the English king, Edward ''Longshanks'' (sometimes also known as ''The Hammer of the Scots'').

Everybody is missing that “Man stay hot” bar and I know it slaps just by how Rustage delivered it. I’m wondering if it has something to do with the Man’s Not Hot music video….

well i'm believing in the theory of Artorius Castus, because there's so less on information about him, that it could be true, but without excaliburn, because that's seemingly mostly iranic culture with their war gods. But i wish artus or arthur were real, because it were the most wholesome myth to live in, when you're blind for all the tragedies atleast xD

Bro, I just realised that Mr. Shwabados just claimed that Oliver Cromwell spearheaded the signing of the magna carta, which is just amazingly untrue. For reference the magna carta was signed in 1215 and Cromwell was born in 1599.

Although no real evidence exists for the existence of ‘King Arthur’, as with many aspects of welsh history, it’s assumed Arthur is an amalgamation of various figures from Welsh and Anglo-Saxon myths. Still somehow he is extensively influential in modern media.

The main thing I got out of this history lesson is that the man I supposedly got my name from isn't even real. Certainly takes a bit of wind outta my sails, ngl. The legend is still interesting tho. Anyway, Rustage in his bag as usual. Not much else to say there.
