An incredible drummer. Kai Hahto, as a young man, completed undergraduate degree in music and for example took private lessons with world famous drummers Joe Morello, Jim Chapin, John Riley and especially with Freddie Gruber (his idol). He has also taught himself many drummers. Kai also knows more about ergonomics (which is vital for players) than an average drummer, because he has taken Alexander technology courses. He has said that learning never ends, so he also practices all the time while working.

Jukka (original drummer) had to step aside becauce of total insomnia. Kai is one of the best drummers in the world. I'm not exaggerating. He can play jazz and any style of music. Also teaches drumming to students.

@@ThomFoolery1 Jukka chose his good friend Kai as his replacement when he went on a hiatus 2014. In 2019 he decided that he would not get back behind the drums even though he's much better now. He doesn't want to risk anything. So Kai is now a full time member of Nightwish. And Jukka is still connected to the band, he's part of the management team now.

Another Masterpiece from Nightwish and another great reaction, thanks a lot. By now You might already be aware of that the former drummer Jukka had to step down due to severe health issue and he was replaced by his very good friend and Mentor Kai Hahto. Kai is a Human Metronome hammering those drums 😳💪🤘

Kai absolutely destroyed it on the drums. The guy has such quick feet! And Marko, shredding the bass while singing...epic. Great back and forth between him and Floor. Only slight caveat with the video is the director all but ignored Troy. We only got a glimpse of him at the end.

This is one of the best old NW songs. The way Floor adapts this to her style is amazing. She has such a great way to make a song hers vocally. And her stage presence and vocal emotions are amazing. Once of the best ever.

There are many good songs left for you to react to from this Buenos Aires 2018 concert. "Slaying the Dreamer", "Dead Boy's Poem", "I want My Tears Back" (The title of the video says 2019). The last one mentioned is special because of the audience reaction. The Argentinian crowd is "crazy", with the best possible meaning of the word.

I lived in the UK for 17 years and that's the first time I've actually heard someone use 'cheerio' in a sentence. Well done! This is one of Nightwish's oldest songs (From Oceanborn 1998 - track 3, I think) This was the song that sucked me into the rabbit hole, this and Stargazer, and I have no desire to climb back out 😊

Really loved your reaction!!! This is one of my favorites from Nightwish. That drummer is Kai Hahto, who took the place of Jukka Nevalainen, cause of severe insomnia. Jukka is still with Nightwish, in the business part.

Ah, the good old days when we had more storytelling than pure poetry in the lyrics (no, I'm moaning about the poetry but Tuomas has such a gift for telling tales through songs)! Some musicianship, ...! 20 year old song and updated. Personally, I fell in love with it immediately when I heard this version of Floor. The whole band is doing an incredibly good performance here. Once, in the same week, two reactors said NW is a superhero band. The other one said that they are in the music world same as the Avengers are in the MCU. I agree with them... :)

What a performance, nuclear! I don't know if this was mentioned before in your comments, or if you caught it, but unfortunately Jukka had to quit playing in 2014 while they were recording their 8th studio album Endless Forms Most Beautiful due to severe insomnia problem, which lasted for years. He asked his very good friend Kai Hahto if he could replace him to finish the recording of the album and for the upcoming tour, while he gets his insomnia under control. Unfortunately Jukka never came back, we all miss him, his style and energy, but fortunately Jukka is well now and still with the band in management and Kai is amazing drummer and great person so he became Nightwish family immediately and was made permanent member of the band. You welcome! Yeah, can't imagine how hard it must have been for him to stop playing for the beloved band he was founding member of. It was really sad news for us the fans too cause Jukka was everyone's darling, energy he brought to performances was just insane, you can clearly see it in Wacken 2013 videos. He is such a great guy, I'll never forget how after one concert he chat with me in front of the tour bus for 15 minutes at -17°C and never said sorry I have to go. At the end of one concert I even managed to catch his drumstick, it is still on the wall right in front of me, I'm so happy to have it :) So yeah, great memories related to Jukka.

I agree, the camera work is amazing, the energy from the crowd is insane. Some say Wacken has better sound quality, but I don't agree. At least for I Want My Tears Back, at Wacken, Troy's pipes sound very muffled. In Buenos Aires they are much more clear, crisp. So when they come in, it has a much bigger impact. Also, you can almost physically see Floor feeding energy off of the audience. Oh, and Floor dancing!

this song is way better with Tarja, for some reason it lost its magic with Floor. Probably because they lowered the key and her voice is "warm". I think the main reason is that Tarja has "dark" voice
