This song is a true testament to the beauty of the Urdu language. At no point does Hannan speak more than 3 words in a single phrase. Each word has so much depth that just 3 of them have the ability to fully convey an entire set of circumstances and fully visualise the narrator's feelings in the mind of one who understands Urdu. And yet, entire sentences are needed to deliver a watered down version of it in other languages.

@@notforone Agreed. Checked his song Bachpan again after a very long time & it made me cry. Also noticed that his voice has matured with age & he sounds like his dad. His vocal maturity adds to the overall story of the song. His calm voice depicts a man who has gone through the ups & down and bringing hope to the other person who is dealing with inner turmoil. The blinking lightbulb is such a beautiful metaphor. The lady & Abdul Hannan's characters are bringing hope in each other's lives. Greaj job by the CS team.

I was crying throughout this song too. I felt it spoke to my heart in a way that I could not! I do believe that it is not about finding happiness in life but rather finding meaning and purpose in life and it is that meaning and purpose that gives you a deep sense of fulfilment and joy. Feeling that satisfaction from knowing that you are doing something that will not only impact your life but others life too in a positive way. By becoming less selfish, we are able to give more to others and the realisation occurs that most of the things we thought we needed in life were actually just superficial and empty promise of happiness like a really big house or expensive car etc. We are enriched through our amazing life experiences and not by things. I watched some of your Pakistani videos a while ago. I saw how you made so many of those people smile. In time you might forget most of those faces and people but my guess is almost all those people will remember you for a very long time because you looked past their poverty and their humble lives and interacted with them and made them smile and feel loved. You touched their souls and made them feel that they really mattered. I’m still living and learning and like you I feel my journey is a long one but I’m understanding my purpose the further along I go. Take care.
