There's a reason why people rather use a donkey to traverse treacherous mountainous pathways because a horse tends to be nervous and somewhat careless with their footing and can get easily agitated, while a donkey thinks before it makes the next step. I had a donkey growing up. Everytime I went to greet Leo it was like that. Running, braying, putting his head all over my shoulder. If I didn't scratch him he'd put his head on my shoulder and press down a little until I petted him and gave him kisses. I miss my big boy 💔. They are just amazing animals. They're so loving and loyal. They're oversized puppers. I dunno why they aren't more popular as straight up pets. They're also protective. Just an amazing amazing animal. 😍 😍 😍

My grandfather used to have a donkey on his farm, who was used as a guard animal against wolves and foxes. Very protective animals. Good at the job too. My earliest childhood memories are of me getting yanked off a fence by my trousers and tossed onto a haystack by the donkey. He then "laughed", kicked up a bunch of dirt and ran off as my grandfather would start yelling at him.

My daughter had a cat that found its way home after a year, he was so dirty that she didnt recognise him at first. He was under her car, she sat down in front of him and kept looking at him. After a while he reminded her of her cat Binky, then on a whim she said "Binky?" He remembered her voice and meowed back in acrusty weak voice and came out crawl up the front of her, he made it home, she cried, took him in and fed him. He lived about 2-3 months and passed away. At least he made it home to his mama.

I love lizards, I have seen them show affection and enjoy it being returned. They are totally capable of recognition to people they know and feel safe around, and trepidation around strangers. A particular Gorrila in later life after she was tort singing. She was able to recall and tell the story of the terrible things she saw and she went through. I try to love and respect creatures.

Animals are no different than we are. They feel emotions, love, etc. I saved a cat from the day he was born, didnt open his eyes for 10 days yet. 12 years later, hes like a 3rd child. Sleeps next to me, head on my pillow and needs snuggled EVERYDAY lol. He ABSOLUTELY feels love, that cat taught me alot about animals
