*REACTION* Ren - Hold On

Although Ren's still seriously ill, he was in a REALLY bad place when he wrote this. Bedridden for years, in constant, unrelenting chronic pain, unable to sleep properlybecause of this, for years! Much of the time even unable to read, watch tv or even socialise. Not going out of the house for years and suffering from autoimmunity and a whole host of illnesses and associated conditions, physical and mental. Even taking a shower, every few days, was excruciatingly painful and exhausting and even standing up was almost too much to bear... and this went on for 7 years! It definitely makes the lyrics even more poignant when you realise the torture he was going through... and he's still going through it, although much improved. He has brain damage, extensive nerve damage, damage to his bones, joints and internal organs and is still in constant pain, which is still frequently chronic pain. He's spent almost the entirety of 2023 far from home, in a clinic in Canada, undergoing experimental medical treatments, in an attempt to repair some of that damage and he'll be there for several months yet. Despite being unable to tour, or promote his music properly, he still scored a number 1 album in the UK! Going straight in at number 1, knocking Drake off the top spot! It went top 10 in quite a few other countries around the World too! What makes it even more amazing, is that he did this as a fully independent artist! The first fully independent artist to achieve a number 1 UK album! No label, no financial backing, no PR machine, no management. Just sheer talent! Every label under the Sun has tried to sign Ren. He's turned them all down! With Ren it really is all about the music! :)

If you did the wrong I Shot the Sheriff video, then you really haven't heard it. That song is different in itself, but it is the rest of the mashup is what makes it really special.
