The beginning wasn't tryouts...they had already trained for years and that was their debut showcase. They were officially being introduced as the members of Blackpink. And Lisa is the first non Korean k-pop star in their company (YG Ent.)...not all of k-pop.

No, Jisoo is the oldest (1995) Jennie is the second oldest (1996), so Jisoo and Jennie are the "Unnie line" the oldest of the group "the oldest sisters" Then Rosé ( February 1997) is the second youngest and finally Lisa (March 1997) is the "manknae" which means she is the youngest, So Rose and Lisa are the "Maknae line"(the youngest members)

They kind of do… Japanese pop is called J-pop Korean pop is called k-pop Chinese pop is called C-pop British pop music is called Britpop Indian pop music is called Indi-pop Thai pop music is called T-pop American pop music is American pop… Etc. not entirely correct. no one really universally calls it all them that. people don't say t-pop, they just say indian music. people don't say t-pop for thailand, they just say thai music. american pop is sometimes called american pop but people generally refer it to just 'pop', britpop is correct. for music where they speak spanish, it's latin music. there's afro-carribean, also reggae music and african music is mostly known as afrobeat or juju/fuji, but people mostly say afrobeat. not all countries get abbreviated like that.

Well, every country has their own Pop music, but they just can't be popular as KPOP. Looking at billboard music chart, KPOP has its own category but not other countries. KPOP is in their own league. So yes each country can have their pop, but it is not on the same level as KPOP.

Tanghulu is the candied fruit snacks Jennie and Jisoo were making. Basically you heat cane sugar/ rock sugar/ heck you can even use confectioner sugar or even brown sugar etc…(making sure to not to burn the sugar) until it’s liquid enough to glaze the fruit. Let the sugar cool into a hardened shell on the fruit and enjoy. The type of sugar you use will affect the taste and melting times for making the glaze.

Their Hamilton concert was in Canada. I went to Chicago to attend the G Dragon concert with my kids in 2017. Blackpink is performing two concerts on November 10th and 11th this year and my daughter and I absolutely WILL be there! No matter what we will be there. I was extremely upset that I missed their 2019 concert due to a lack of money. I’m not missing this one no matter what. We already have everything planned out. We will not miss them this time. They may not have another world tour so it’s now or never. 🔥

Regarding the name BLACKPINK, according to a press release from their company when the group debuted, "The meaning of BLACKPINK aims to contradict the common perception of the color pink. Pink is commonly used to portray prettiness, but BLACKPINK actually means to say that 'Pretty isn't everything'. It also symbolizes that they are a team that encompasses not only beauty, but also great talent." To clarify their training schedule; they trained fourteen hours a days, seven days a week, one day off every two weeks. They trained in dance and vocals as well as language and other classes relevant to their career. Their schedules usually began around noon and ended 2 AM, Lisa once said that she would sometimes keep going until 3 or 4 AM (and in the documentary Teddy said that Rosé sometimes plays music until 6 AM). Even now they usually stay up very late and sleep late as they've done it for so many years. I think that they each have a place in Seoul and but live together in the dorm when they're working on something (Jisoo and Jennie were making tanghulu, the fruit covered with sugar syrup in their dorm, when they were packing it was also in their dorm.) Their "dorm" is not what you would normally picture, though. Before they debuted they lived in the dorms in the basement of the YG Entertainment building (which was known as "The Dungeon) but after they debuted they were given a four-bedroom apartment in a luxury high rise building close to the company. Last year their company opened their new building, ten times the size of the old one, right next to the old building, they're connected by a sky bridge. It's amazing, it looks like a futuristic space station and has everything from a food court for the employees to video game rooms, billiards and a workout center. In addition to the corporate offices and meeting rooms it has fourteen floors, five of which are below ground (they also shoot their music videos in-house). It also has a two-story tall auditorium, seven large dance practice rooms, seven large recording studios, and 30 personal studios for the company’s songwriters and artists.
