Maglus is an amazing character and the reason I made a Sith to begin with. He deserves his own series. Sith of this time were built differently, too. He made short work of a Jedi Master and his Padawan and barely had to use his lightsaber skills.

Malgus made short work of the entire republic, jedi included. Malgus didnt just bring the republic to its knees, he already lopped of its head. The rest of sith sewed it back together.

The Deceived trailer sold it for me! Give this guy a movie, a series, anything

This trailer is old man Malgus. He's still an absolute certified beast of the highest order, but he's not the same raging berserker of the past trailers. He fought and bled with the soldiers on the front lines of an endless conflict for several decades, watching every grueling victory be squandered to a meaningless stalemate by petty sith infighting. He sacrificed his body, his beliefs, and his comrades in service of his people, and watched it all be wasted by self serving sith lords and their power struggles. Malgus burned out, saw the empire for all it's flaws, and tried to break away and create his own better version (hence the traitor line). He did away with the xenophobia, the blinding pride and self supremacy, and tried to create an empire that would live to it's full potential under a single unified ambition. Unfortunately for the galaxy, both the republic and empire realized he was a threat that would destroy them both, and went all in to crush the upstart. Malgus was presumed dead in the aftermath, and the empire and republic went back to their ceaseless war and waste of human life. So now Malgus is older but wiser, and wielding his intellect and the force rather than trying to punch a hole through his problems, and I wholly believe that makes him more dangerous than ever, and I couldn't be more excited to have him back in the story wrecking house.

Don't forget about the age of the characters. in the first trailer (Return) Satil is 12 years old, Malgus is 19. In the second trailer (Hope), they are already 36 and 43 years old. And in the latest trailer (Disorder) Malgus is already 70-80 years old.

I would say every Star wars fan would agree that we need an actuall Old Republic Show. I like the old republic era generally a lot better than the Clone wars or Trilogy. I also like how the Jedi Order is not being represented as flawless good people and we get to see their dark sides. On the other hand I would be afraid that Disney fucks it up again.

He's always let people off if they earned his respect or if he felt like he owed them for something. Though in Sa'har's case, it was probably the former, since it's not like she actually gave him the holocron like he asked. But she was just a padawan, yet she managed to disarm him *and* land a few hits against him in a duel. It probably earned her a few points in his book, enough that he just left once he had what he needed and she was no longer a threat.

If you want more insight on Malglus there is a novel called Decieved that is set right after the cinematic of the same name (the one at the jedi temple) Really shows some of his motivations and desires.

@@mangapunk9616 Peace is a lie. There is only Passion. Through Passion, I gain Strength. Through Strength, I gain Power. Through Power, I gain Victory. Through Victory my chains are Broken. The Force shall free me. It's one of the quests from Knights of the Old Republic (you remember Revan, ancestor of Satele Shan from the Return and Hope trailers) to learn the Sith code :D It's the complete opposite of the Jedi code (which you also have to learn in the KotOR game): There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force. Man, we need more HK-47 and his ramblings about meatbags.

Great reaction being honest right know my most favorite moment in this animated trailer is when malgus eyes start glowing like crazy its just a minor detail but it looks sooooo good and I love this general theme you know the jedi being the good guys, here they are showing what this nitpicking of padawans does to their family and them self awesome animation.

Yeah, the Jedi are just as bad as the Sith. In a lot of ways they are even worse. I mean they didn't just fight Sith. They actually killed off all the other Light Side orders who didn't follow their particular sets of beliefs.

@@volty6719 I think if they get a creative writer to create this trilogy and Kathleen Kennedy stays out of the way (the second part is a BIG if), the trilogy could be some of the best Star Wars material we've ever gotten. Back then, the Sith were Classified as two types, with subclasses under those but I'll focus on the two. Warriors and Inquisitors. Warriors, such as Magus were more often found on the battlefield, and utilized the force to enhance their physical abilities in battle rather than all the flashy stuff like lightning, with a few exceptions like Malgus himself. The Inquisitors on the otherhand made up the upper Escalons of their society and were tasked with Managing everything within the political sphere. The Inquisitors were comprised of Sith that were born with the ability to use Sorcery such as lightning and force rituals amongs many other mystic abilitys. Contrary to popular belief, you actually needed to be born with the aptitude. Lightning and other Sorcery wasn't something that could be learned by any old sith.

If you dont know what's going on in the game. This malgus is not with the sith, hes rather against both republic and sith empire and he didnt lie to sahar in this trailer A lot of people are blinded that the jedi are good and pure, but no one sees that they are not better than the sith in many ways, even after watching the prequels

Reminds me how qui Gon could take Anakin but no one goes back for his mother. like yea it's not the jedi's problem technically but shouldn't it? A great thing about the prequels, clone wars, and this is they make you question the Jedi.

I hope one day you decide to give this game a try. Being a classic "point-and-click"--- or "tab target" style of MMORPG (like WoW), the gameplay is definitely not much to be excited for with the current trend of Action RPG. But what they lack in gameplay they make up for with high-quality stories and storytelling. Idk what else to say other than that this game feels very comfortable to play for me as both an RPG and SW fan.
@mangapunk96162 жыл бұрын
I might have to for the storytelling alone. I really wish they'd make an adventure game like Fallen Order focused on Malgus
@DandrebBernardes Жыл бұрын
@@mangapunk9616 if you get around to playing the game, the best storylines in my opinion are Sith Inquisitor, followed by Sith Warrior. The Jedi classes feel kinda restrictive for me, if you intend to play out the light side. I'd say storywise the best experience is the light sided Inquisitor and the light sided warrior. It's just hella fun to zap away hordes of enemies from afar with force lightning when you're an Inquisitor, or to smash enemies with brute force when you're a warrior. And hella fun to not be a mindless killer, but not taking shit, either.
