Hey y'all! At around 99 minutes or so the video skips a little bit but that was because I had to cut a part out due to copyright (because the video was blocked). I did see however the section about 2PM being in Blue Exorcist's anime OST which I thought was fricking amazing! Anyway, I hope you enjoy today's video and I'm so pumped to experience this comeback with you guys!

2PM saved JYPE from bankruptcy, lots if new kpop fans never realized this. And yup, before they went into hiatus for army enlistment, they were still the highest earners of JYPE. They have up to almost 30 CFs in a year, major CF like Samsung, Coke, no joke. Khun himself used to be one of the highest paid CF model, almost the same price as Big Bang back then. 2PM were expensive.

Actually their popularity in Japan was super high. Considering Japan market is the 2nd largest market in the world they're the the highest earners for the JYP until the hiatus on 2017

The 2pm variety shows are hilariously chaotic. One of the reasons that I feel in love with them was because they were one of the groups that felt the most like real people to me. Can't wait to see more of them on your channel.

The reason why JYP sent them to Japan was because around that time JYPE was at the edge of bankruptcy and thanks to 2pm and Suzy activities they survived this state.

wasn't it because Nichkhun got in an scandal and the members refused to promote without him so they cancelled their agenda for that year and focused on their promotions in Japan? the part in the guide video when Khun is crying in a concert and everyone hugs him is after he apologized for that incident

@@twicenmixx6945 JYPE never actually went bankrupt, their US sub label, JYP Creative, did (it was a huge failure). But back then they were two JYP companies, each one responsable for different artists, JYP Entertainment (that managed Miss A, 15& and JYP himself) and the JYP Parent Company (home to Wonder Girls, 2PM, 2AM, etc), in 2013 they merged and became a single company under the name JYP Entertainment. It can be confusing, but there was no risk for actual bankruptcy, JYP Entertainment pre merge was in bad shape, but the earnings of the artists under JYP Parent Company was more than enough to save and expand their business, 2PM sales alone just for the first half of that year was higher than JYP Entertainment sales as a whole, so you see how inbalanced the revenue for both companies were before the merge

Oh my god, I loved your reaction so much!!! You should definitely watch WILDBEAT Australia, basically the plot is: the members want to go on vacation to Uluru, but to do so they must find part time jobs and earn the money to travel themselves. This show It's freaking chaotic, it really shows their different personalities, the strong bond they have and we also get a lot of english speaking moments that are hilarious!!!

5:45 Yes the injuries were no joke, from fractured arms to one of the members breaking his spine and having to be on a wheel chair. This member was Junho, and there is even a video of his accident while practicing an acrobatics with the group. He landed so hard on the floor that he lost consciousness for a few minutes. That thing happened so long ago but to this day he has to take pain killer medicine and do rehabilitation of his shoulder, and he was judged unfit for active duty by the army. So yeah, it was pretty serious and I'm glad they don't do it all the time like they used to, and just save it for their concerts and some special ocassions :)

Taecyeon has come a really long way in acting. I remember watching him in his first lead role (Dream High) and cringing here and there. But he worked really hard and now he's one of the best. Junho's fantastic too though, and I've seen Chansung in a couple of things and he's great as well. Jun.K has always been my bias though. They are one of the groups where I actually believe all the members are as close as they are portrayed on screen. And I love how they all went to the army one after another and didn't promote as a group again until the maknae came back so we didn't have a comeback with missing members!

I have to say this about Taecyeon's dramas. When I saw him in Dream High, I wasn't really fond of his acting. But since he is my bias, I picked up other dramas he acted in. His acting in Vincenzo is top notch and shows how far he has come in terms of his acting. If you haven't seen Vincenzo, go check it out.

2PM are just something else really, I can't stop loving them... I recommend this channel's other funny videos too! (The hyung line/maknae line guides are really helpful too!) I'm glad you brought up the military thing, people forget it's seen as an honour to serve by a lot of Koreans. I know Seunghyub from N.Flying was really insecure and kind of ashamed when he revealed he wasn't going to enlist due to being medically exempt. He was kind of devastated he couldn't fulfil his duty (he has a bad knee injury from just before debut which he still needs physio and stuff for).

While we're at it, if you're interested in more "crazy" idol groups, then I definitely recommend Super Junior -- there's this famous saying that says "in Super Junior, there are less crazy members, but there are no members that are not crazy" (I already fact-checked it, and it's true). Maybe a Super Junior guide video to start off, and, if you're even more curious, I recommend watching their funny videos as well, such as "Suju Being Suju for 16 Minutes," "Noisy and Crazy Idols Super Junior," and "Everybody Grown Up..." (titles may differ slightly since I'm writing them by memory)

Also just on the Military thing - it's kind of like another step to being seen as a 'man' - like a long initiation ritual where they learn skills and to protect. And while the subsidies they get is very low when they serve and something they all complain about, as you mentioned many guys have made lifelong friends and expressed that they learned a lot of important life skills like first aid and matured a lot as people during their time serving. I do think that it's not only necessary but also good. I would say Women should as equals also do some form civil duty (maybe not Military but there could be a choice to do Military) but that's a topic for a different day...

It was sad because JYPE was having financial issues back in 2012/2013, and Japan market was much more profitable than Korean market so JYPE focused the promotion of 2PM in Japan and basically give them up in Korea market.

this is why 2pm is the only boy group that i have stanned. they are literally the most talented boy group and they are also hilarious loud crackheads like my ult izone. they were at the top, but jyp had to send them to overseas to do nonstop tours to save the company. jyp is part of the big 3 because of 2pm. a big reason twice got huge is because they were promoted SO MUCH. they released multiple title songs in a year which was unheard of at the time. jyp was only able to do that because he used the profits of 2pm to invest in twice. felt bad for 2pm. they had to give up so much.
