We need a debate panel with these two American rabbanim, who seem very sure of their decision to convince people not to make Aliyah and two similar caliber rabbanim in EY to discuss and debate the topic of yishuv EY, for the sake of Jews in chul but more-so for the sake of Am Yisrael as a whole.

The rabbies of the 30s said the same things and people listened to them! HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF OVER AND OVER AGAIN! You know why? Because we never learn and we keep making the same mistakes again and again! The God of Israel gives us signs and time to do something about it but, we’re too busy listening to rabbies like these ones and going about our business! Soon we’ll feel sorry for it! 😢. The time to make Aliyah began in the 1920s. The excuses not to, ended in May 1948. Today it is a Hillul haShem not to make Aliyah.

In.short ignore Agudah Rabbanim who.ignored what aliyah means today and look forward towards redemption and.not backwards towards a diseased western society that 80% of Jewish children are no longer Torah observant..... Aliyah to Eretz Yisrael is the only hope for children..... Do your homework on.the best schools.and it will be better than staying in exile where disaster awaits

Not a great person to (self)debate on this topic. Assuming you don't listen to Rabbi Reismans classes very much as he is very pro Aliya. You can disagree on how he answered the posed question, but as you mentioned- your knowledge is dim in comparison. Side note: wouldn't it be more effective to have the Aliya discussion from a place of positivity? Show people that it's possible to do so despite their concerns of financial , social, or education difficulties. The fire and brimstone approach just makes people tune out, the ones cheering it on have already made it to The Land. Just my 2 shekels. Lchaim

There’s nothing standard about their response. The only Jewish response to coming to the land of Israel is, of course, and that was always the answer anyone who thinks otherwise is a blasphemer.
