That’s not an Angelina original, it’s by «Baby Fuzz». Actually she never released the video for that song herself. Rather it was stolen. And she has claimed she will never sing this song again. Even if her performance in this song is good, I don’t think reactions to the song is in good taste. Let’s respect the artist she is. As she didn’t want to release the video herself, there sure is reasons for it, and we should just leave that song behind.

IF this video was leaked about that time or after, i can understand the family's stance. Aside frkm that, I, like most fans, love the song. Should Dave 'choose' not to make a reaction video to 'holding out', he should at least listen to the incomparable vocal art, delivered by a TEN year old Angelina, in that performance. As far as I'm aware, Angelina hasn't instructed her fans to boycott listening to, or viewing that performance.

Great reaction. This little 10 year old girl completely re-wrote the lyrics to the song in one day when her mom told her that the original lyrics were inappropriate for a 10 year old to sing. She was refining the lyrics in the car on the way to the venue. That's why she is referring to hand-written lyric sheets when she is singing. It is amazing she stayed completely true to the original feel and structure of the song so much so that the orchestra was able to play the regular score to the song.

The NRK film crew took her to a fun fair with two of her friends, Angelina was not keen to go on the roller coaster - her vocal warm up was screaming her lungs out on that ride, then in the car to the rehearsal, she took a couple of selfies, she had some time to read over the hand written lyrics, just in time to reach the venue and perform.

Dave, if you noticed that one guy on the violin, he was thinking one, "this little girl is going to sing an Amy Winehouse song (?)," and two (after it started), "what? I don't believe this." And yes, some lyrics were totally inappropriate so Angelina changed the words and neutralized the harshness of the original lyrics. And, she performed here at 10 years old. Please read the comment above this (?) by Phil Garinger, about how Angelina rewrote the lyrics (on the way to the recording), as her mom told her the lyrics was inappropriate for her, being only 10 years old. She knew the original lyrics well, she just needed to watch her own changed lyrics, as they were so fresh.

She knows precisely how a song should sound, and she has the ability to produce those sounds, while adding subtle refinements, often first time according to her accompanist. But since she often works with so little rehearsal she does not always remember all the lyrics.

It doesn’t have anything to do with not knowing the music! Every musician in an orchestra has music in front of them, they all know exactly the music by heart and don’t need the music that is in front of them, but they all read and follow the score to ensure no mistakes, this is essential!

KORK = Kringkastings-orkesteret - the national broadcasting (TV/radio) company’s orchestra. (We used to have only one broadcasting company here, state owned, lots of years ago - like in the 60s and 70s, before commercial TV and radio stations started emerging. This orchestra was founded back then, and is widely known to be a very good orchestra in Norway.) The other band you mentioned, is the national defence army’s orchestra.

Angelina is the only singer to ever capture the essence of Amy's inflections, for it is a style of jazz that stopped anyone other than Angelina from covering her in songs like this. Two 'Jazz Queens', for sure ! Also, Angelina adored Amy, for you can find her in a photo hugging a lifelike statue of Amy which is probably in front of an Amy museum somewhere in England.

Especially with Angelina who has never 'played to the camera' until her two most recent videos (pretty sure Republic is coaching her to relate more). She's not worried about entertaining the audience, she's determined to translate mere words into powerful emotions. The nuance of her vocals is easily lost by concentrating on the visuals. I think she is saying "Laugh" during that "butter"part. Notice on the 5th and 6th "laugh" at the very end she trails the note ever so slightly upward and on the 7th "laugh" she brings it down to a very quiet finish. That violinist seems completely engrossed in her delivery. I understand closing your eyes to feel that sax. Remember, in most of Angelina's performances her eyes are closed so she can "feel" where she wants to take the song. It does get a little frustrating at times when maybe a reactor misses "the best part" but overall I've got no problem with it. btw It's ok to go a couple days w/o AJ. You need to hear other artists to truly appreciate what Angelina gives us. Absence makes the heart grow fonder! Love your reviews Thanks Dave

Maybe the officials have to prevent listening to Angelina Jordan because it is like eating drugs. You become dependent so easily.
