Just the tip of the iceberg with Angelina Jordan. You have so many more to hear. Her library of work is massive, and every single thing she does is pure gold. She will never stop impressing you. I try to always leave this on someone's first Angelina reaction, but I'm running a little behind this week..... For anyone new to Angelina, here is a little bio so that you can learn a little more about her background and her kind and caring soul....... *Angelina Jordan* - Angelina Jordan was born Jan 10 2006 in Oslo, Norway. She is currently 15 - She began singing at the age of one and a half - At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and started studying all the greats from Jazz history with youtube videos. - *Why Angelina always sings barefoot* - When Angelina was 6 years old, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. They talked for a while and discussed their dreams. It was cold and the girl had scars on her feet. Seeing this, Angelina took off her shoes and gave them to the girl. The girl thanked her and told Angelina she would pray for her every day. That day Angelina made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot as a way to remember that little girl and to remind us that there are less fortunate people in the world that could use our help. Angelina holds so true to this promise that she has sung outdoors in Norway, in december... barefoot. She has sung at a dinner with ex-pres Obama... barefoot. She went on AGT (possibly the biggest stage in the world)...bare foot. She made a promise at 6 years old, and has stuck strong to it for years. That takes a special kind of person. - She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. It was her that asked her mother to take her to Norways Got Talent, where she auditioned at 7 years old and went on to win the whole show at just 8 years old. - In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes" - When Angelina was 9 years old she became the youngest published author in Norway, when she wrote a book about the story of why she doesn't wear shoes when she sings. She donated proceeds from the sales of the book to help children in need. - The reason you may not have heard of her is because her parents are very protective of her childhood. After she won NGT, they did not want her to be thrust into stardom before she had a chance to grow up as a normal child, and get her education. They allowed her to do a few select shows (mainly private and charity events) with a couple public shows every year when she is out of school. Her mother said in an interview that they have turned down 90% of the offers that came in. Over the years since NGT, they have turned down offers from many major record labels and even disney. - Angelina has covered more than 130 songs and over 65 artists in the last 6 years. She always selects the songs herself... everything ranging from old classic jazz to modern pop. She is able to change her voice to match any song she sings and make it her own. (she can cover Amy Winehouse and Lana del Rey like nobody else) - Angelina has collaborated with some very big names over the last few years... Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson, David Foster, Alan Walker and many more. All of which heard her and were blown away by her talent. - Angelina has written four of her own original songs: "What is Life", "Shield", "Oslo", and "Million Miles" (all are amazing...all can be found on youtube) In summary, Angelina Jordan is destined to be one of the greatest singers to have ever lived. This is just my opinion, but if you listen closely to any of her stuff you will hear the greatness. She sings with a natural style. There is no acting, no showing off, there are no unnecessary runs, or big belty notes just for the purpose of saying "hey look at me sing". She once said "when I sing I go into a beautiful world in my head", and you can always hear the results of that. When Angelina sings it is pure soul, pure emotion, pure music. - Updates: On Aug 26, 2020 Angelina's Manager/Uncle announced in an interview that they have decided on Republic Records as the best fit for Angelina and she is now signed with them as their "highest priority new artist". On Nov 6 she released her first single under Republic... "Million Miles"! On March 19 2021 Angelina released her latest single "7th Heaven" She has done so much already, but at 15 she is just getting started!!!

I think this is a great example why Angelina is so good now at the age of 15. Many people are afraid and restrictive about everything. They say to themselves: I can't do this, I can't do that, nobody can top Whitney, or my voice is not enough, I'm not talented enough, I'm not ready for the stage yet, what would others think of me, I'll do it later,... But Angelina on the other hand made progress at the speed of light, why, because she was fearless, she tackled everything, she tried many different songs in many different styles, she didn't care what others think of her, she never thought she wasn't ready yet, she always did what she loved to do, she didn't wait for a 100 takes, she left it at 1-2 takes (quote from her former guitarist), she performed on stage since she was like 7 years old, and now look at her, she performs like a pro at the age of 15 already, because she got all that experience. And moreover, she proved that age doesn't matter when it comes to moving people with your singing.

It's always funny to see someone react to Angelina for the first time. I will never ever forget when I heard Angelina singing Gloomy Sunday for the first time, when she was seven. I said (at home) together with the judge: In front of us here, we have a star. When she sang What a difference a day makes, and the outdoor version of summertime, (which is the best in my opinion), I said that these songs will become a part of music history. Now it seems that this is already about to become true.

Angelina Jordan is the most spectacular music artist of the whole world nowadays, due to several factors. First of all, her voice which is unmatched, unbeatable ,melodic, mesmerizing, magnificent , majestic and full of soul, and jazzy and in second place , she is such a Humble person as it is up to now, getting to every body's heart ; ever since she was a child (an infant) has shown that the beauty of a person can be in her own attitude,taking as example her kindness toward another child by her age,where poverty was not an insuperable wall to trespass to support and help another human been, that kind of dignity only can be find in a pure soul . I forgot to to share with you... I think you will get a kick out of her 1st time in a recording studio. It is unbelievable she is six years old. If you watch her closely you’ll see how excited she gets just to be able to sing that song and then she jumps back into character back-and-forth it’s so cute I think it’s called “I Who Have Nothing” . This is the only song I have ever heard her sing that felt like she really had to work hard to sing it, which is understandable because of the difficulty of this song. To even attempt this song at 13 shows the confidence she has in her ability, and that confidence is very justified. Of course she KILLED IT! Not everyone knows this, but Angelina is somewhat a protege of the composer of "I Have Nothing" David Foster. They first met in 2016 when Angelina released her book at age 10. Then there are videos of her near that age singing with David accompanying her on the piano. Also at a charity even in 2019 David accompanied her on the piano when she sang "I Have Nothing." I don't think too many artists have had that privilege.

One of the best reactions on this! Cool how you explained how difficult it is to sing this. This is a GIANT song which why artists don't try to sing it.
