I remember hearing when they actually made the the Blackadder movie. They did film that scene at Hadrian's Wall, at one of the less tall bits. Their recruiter went round the local towns asking if people would like to play Pictish Scots in a movie. He was asked in every single pub, 'is it another of those Braveheart things?' It's for Blackadder, he told them. Apparently 800 Scotsmen turned up for make-up! The absolute best one I ever heard and this is actually in the extra bits for the Highlander movie. The first part of the movie as a battle between our hero's clan, the McClouds and Frasier's, a rival clan. The director said: 'ACTION!' And all hell broke loose! The extras attacked each other. It didn't look like a staged fight any more, it looked real! People were near drowned in rivers, there was full-blown punch-ups, those with the weapons were hacking at each other! Christopher Lambert and Clancy Brown were standing off to one side of the camera with the 'Connor's cousin's,' all of them watching this vicious brawl going on. The director staring at this in horror he didn't understand what the hell was going on, but he ordered his mobile camera units to get as much of this as possible. It was only after everything calmed down again they found out what happened. The extras hadn't gone to Catering for lunch, they didn't even know it was open to them. Instead, they went to the local pubs had lunch and had a few too many. On the way back, they knew they will have to fight a battle, so started getting themselves all riled up, the drink helping with this. By the time the battle began, both sides were ready to re-fight Sterling, Culloden and invade England! If you watch the movie again, the battle between the McCloud's and Frasier's look like a real battle and this is why!

@PiersDJackson Жыл бұрын
The video being reacted to is a compilation of excerpts from the third and fourth series of Blackadder, and from the special "Back and Forth". Blackadder itself was four series of six half-hour episodes, each series set in a different time period. As well as a couple of specials and sketches in the "Royal Variety Performance". In production order: 1 - The Black Adder - an apocryphal version of Richard IV's reign between Richard III and Henry VII (Tudor). Blackadder is the secondborn prince, son of Richard IV. 2 - Blackadder II - set in the court of Elizabeth I, and her mad nursemaid. Blackadder is Earl of Northumbria. aka Lord Blackadder. 3 - Blackadder the Third - the Regency of Prince George (aka George IV). Blackadder is now an Esq. upper-middleclass equerry/valet to tye Prince. S1 - Blackadder- The Cavalier Years - a Comic Relief sketch set during the English civil war. Blackadder as a Baronet. S2 - Blackadder's Christmas Carol - a reworking of the Dickensian classic with a philanthropist to Miser. With excerpts from series 2 and 3. Blackadder as Scrooge, and middle-class. 4 - Blackadder goes Forth - set in the WWI trenches. Blackadder is a career soldier, who's earned every promotion from his purchased subalterns commission. S3 - Blackadder and the King's Birthday - the court of Chatles II. Blackadder is again a lord. S4 - Blackadder: Back and Forth - baldrick builds a time machine, and there are travels to previous eras, and some new ones. Blackadder starts as minor lamded gentry and ends up as King. S5 - Blackadder: the Army Years - a monologue on how Britain could regain it's mojo, and be on top again, by invading France, via the Channel Tunnel, by Captain the Lord Blackadder, of Her Royal Highness's regiment of Shirkers.....
@theradgegadgie6352 Жыл бұрын
Percy is the heir to the Duchy of Northumberland. Blackadder's estate location is never mentioned. Blackadder's commission was not purchased. That system was removed thirty-something years before the First World War. Her MAJESTY'S Regiment of Shirkers.
