This was a charity event headed by the first lady of France who invited Blackpink to perform. The girls took a detour from their world tour in order to perform at this event. Fan cams from this event have the singing from the fans being louder than the girls themselves. The fans would continue to serenade the girls even as all the rest of the performers took the stage together for their collective last bow.

My wife and I are both quite a bit older than you and we are huge blinks and in fact attended two concerts (Hamilton & Metlife) during their Born Pink tour. We were surrounded by blinks of all ages. I thought we'd be exceptions but in fact were not.

The best thing about this gala was it was live on French TV, at the end of the show as the credits rolled, all the performers were on stage including international artists like Pharrell. There was Blackpink music playing and the crowd were singing so loudly. The humble queens became all embarrassed that they were getting all the spotlight.

I saw them live in Las Vegas last year. One of the best days of my life. Their stage presence is unmatched and the way they work as a group is magic.

This was done with an orchestra that normally plays only Classical, and I think that they were also having a good time, because how many times have they had a crowd that rowdy and enthusiastic? You could see the conductor smiling from ear-to-ear and applauding them at the end. ;) To the age range, you have to remember that we old folk - I'm 77 - grew up listening to rock&roll. The "old age homes" are full of people listening to the Rolling Stones, etc. ;) So, liking BP is not a stretch. The ability to perform live at a high level has always been a focus of YG, and they invest a lot of training in members before they debut. We're seeing that in BabyMonster as well, who are making a name for themselves with their live vocals and performances. Lastly, given the recent controversies over singing live and using a backtrack, there's a difference between using it to take a breath, and pretending that you're not using it. Twice in this performance, and many times at Coachella, BP let the backing track take over. However, both times I saw it here, just as in Coachella, they take the microphone away from their face and stop moving their lips. Fans understand the difference, and know that these performers need to breathe if they are doing choreo, so,, if they want the full performance, that's what happens. Fans don't like being lied to. That's the difference.

This version sounds different because the person playing the music is a live philharmonic orchestra with its soloists on the cello and violin!! They had to adapt the scores and do rehearsals for this performance.

Another great reaction. The crowd participation in this - AMAZING! They were singing along with BP. Daniel…crazy crazy good. I suggest for ur own enjoyment watch the video from this where Danial plays ‘La Campanella’ then BP comes on the stage. I think we can say that BP is very confidant on the stage, but are still humble and respectful. A big cultural difference. They worked hard to get there, confidence, but still have a hard time realizing that they have made it, humility. You can see it at the end of this concert, all participants are on stage accepting applause. BP is playing in the background, the fans are singing the BP song and the girls shuffle and look slightly uncomfortable realizing that with all the other musicians on stage, they are singled out by the crowd. Did you hear the live mic’s? There may be other great groups but there will never be another BlackPink! So beautiful it’s brutal. OT4 ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

I loved this live so much, escpecially the "Black Pink" chant in Pink Venom and "Black Pink in your Area" chant in Shut Down. That crowd was so loud and the low roof made it echo. The orchestra was also so cool. You can tell France loves BlackPink!!!

Great Reaction CoachCastTV! This was actually a Charity Concert by the First Lady of France to raise money for the Children’s Hospital! She personally attended a BlackPink concert to formally invite them to perform with other artists from around the world! No money was made by BlackPink and YGE built these great sets for BlackPink and donated to the Charity as well! BlackPink has Three videos of Coachella on their KZbin Channel! The production team was so worried about the audio because the crowd was so loud they were worried how it was gonna translate to viewers at home during the live show. Lol. The first lady and husband was also present enjoying the show. They were asked how did they get the other major artist to participate in the fundraiser it was later revealed that once they mentioned BLACKPINK it was easy to get others on board. 😂

Blackpink performed at the Le Gala des Pièces Jaunes which is an annual charity event organized by the first lady of France, Brigitte Macron in Paris. BLACKPINK became the first ever K-pop band to be invited to this annual charity event and perform. The live music was also performed by notable cellist Gautier Capucon and notable violinist Daniel Lozakovich. Fun fact: Blackpink were still on their BORN PINK world tour IN THE MIDST of this performance which was insanely impressive. They were very very very busy and tired but still pulled through. This was also months before them gearing up for headlining TWO big music show festivals “Coachella” and “BST HYDE PARK.” Also, I agree they should go back on tour for you guys as well lol. Especially, so Papa Coach can have his wish of meeting Rosie haha

Normally this wouldn't be my genre, and I'm not really into the songs themselves, but I recognize great performers when I see them. I'd absolutely see them in concert since it would undoubtedly be a damn good show. This video doesn't show the fun part, at the end all of these who performed were on stage to be acknowledged. The only hitch in that was the audience began singing "Shut Down" drowning out the MC. The ladies were some what embarrassed and the others on stage were Gobsmacked.
