I really love the MV to But Sometimes - the end shot makes it seem like they’re “closing the door” on this chapter? So I’m thinking that But Sometimes is the sad, break up continuation to the But I Like You trilogy…and now they’ll move on to a different story They might even have a brighter concept again next comeback, with the end of But Sometimes’s lyrics seeming to be moving on from the relationship (kind of lol) BUT ANYWAYS I love these three songs, so much fun Also side note, but I love the lyrics to But Sometimes - obviously there’s no shortage of breakup songs in kpop/music in general, but the lyrics are really clever, like the bit about widening his shoulders and now he can’t move through the metro, or even the song having a bit of a storyline with the end bit being a “I can’t believe you’re only NOW realizing what you’re missing, you suck” Idk, it’s a good time 😁

It's crazy how bonedo just literally have 6 tracks so far & yet.. We can already hear & see the concept & music direction they have, like the first 3 songs & these 3 were totally different but still so bonedo coded. Their dynamic is so good & they just complements each other so well.. Truly a big stars in the making.

This era of BOYNEXTDOOR reminds me a lot of Block B and Ikon old sound (specifically Block B "Toy" and Ikon "I'm Ok") Also their transition of styles of cute to a more darker one reminds me of TXT when they debuted with "Crown" and their first comeback was so different with "Run Away"

The instrumentals they use and how they use them are so 100% Block B with an updated twist. The instrumentals in But Sometimes strike me as the same ones used for Block B’s HER, but obvi remixed to create a different sound. Zico is nothing if not consistent, he really makes nothing but bangers.
