I’m gonna be honest with you, I don’t really like kpop, but I like BTS. I’m 20 years old, and never thought I would stan a boyband at this age 🤧 but I really got into their music because of the meaning of their lyrics and the fact that they write and produce their own music (unlike most of the kpop industry) They talk about loving ourselves, struggles the youth is facing and so many other things that need to be spoken about. Their lyrics saved many lifes. There's english subtitles in all of BTS's mvs! Just click on the CC! Also, FYI a lot of the ARMYs are not general kpop fans, so don't feel pressured to like all of kpop in order to be a BTS fan. The reason why this boygroup is becoming popular in the US and all over the world is because BTS is a one-of-a-kind group in the kpop industry. There's a reason why we are all witnessing history right now: Korean music being accepted as popular music. PSY was just a trend, but now there's a demand for this korean boygroup worldwide. The reason is because they go against the norms in the kpop industry. They debuted in 2013 (when most of them were teens), but didn't really get recognized till 2015 due to being from a smaller unknown label. BTS received so much hate from their own people and were told to stop trying so hard with the difficult choreographies since they'll never be famous. A lot of other kpop boy/girl groups don't usually write their own lyrics or participate in the music process. The big labels have their own writers and producers, so that's why there is the stigma of kpop that "it's manufactured." A lot of people say that Kpop idols are just idols/performers, not real artists.... till people found out about BTS! These guys have been writing their own lyrics and telling their own story, WHILE tackling social issues like the kinds of pressure young people face in modern society, mental health, empowering women, economic problems, etc. With multiple subtitles, people all over the world were able to relate to the lyrics and the artists in the group. The idea of analyzing/criticizing a society through music in Korea is pretty taboo. That's why BTS debuted as a hip-hop group because the origin of the genre was to make social statements through hip hop. BTS even went to America (in 2014) to learn about the culture of hip-hop which you can see on "American Hustle Life". If you take the time to learn about them (there's so much content of them on KZbin!), then you'll understand why everyone is comparing the BTS fans to Beatlemania. BTS is not just a boygroup, but a movement! They are proving that music transcends language and promotes the idea of "teamwork makes the dream work". BTS themselves and most people in Korea never thought that the group would go this far. They didn't come to America looking for fame, rather the world is telling Hollywood "hey look, there's this really cool and talented group that people should be aware of." Honestly, they have so many great songs. But since you are still new to the band I guess you should start with more known songs. For the "soft side" of BTS, I'd recommend Spring day and I need u. Both music videos are kinda different from the songs you reacted to, especially I need you. Not today, DNA, Blood Sweat and Tears and Mic Drop are also a must, they are lit. Also, BTS are having a comeback soon and on May 18 they will release a new album called Love Yourself: Tear. Their company uploaded the comeback trailer (intro of the album) 2 days ago and it is sung by one of the vocalists Kim Taehyung aka V and it's my favorite intro so far ❤️

to answer your questions (the answers applies to all kpop groups): 1. are they brothers? they came from different states to audition in Seoul (capital city of korea, if u dont know), so they are unrelated by blood. everyday they practice together while living together and thats how they became so close to each other like brothers. 2. how long do yall think it takes them to learn the steps? they practice 10-12 hours daily for each choreography, sometimes even up to 14 hours (some ppl practice so much they sleep for like 2-4 hours daily). but u know logically, the more experience they have the better they are at doing something. so now they practice up to 8 hours per day. before debut they trained for years (some only months tho) and thats how they are able to cope with hard choreographies and improve as time goes by. another group called nct, they said it takes them one week to learn the steps and one month to practice it till perfection. might or might not be the same for all groups. please watch their dance practice videos and performances after u are done with the music videos. highly recommended videos (they debuted on 2013 so notice the publish dates for the videos, and yes they are THAT good when they just debuted): 1. bts - intro performance trailer 2. bts - sbs performance practice 3. bts - concept trailer dance practice 4. bts - concept trailer 5. bts - danger dance practice 6. bts - boy in luv dance practice 7. bts - perfect man 8. bts - gogo heart performance

Just to let you know one of the members Jin who has trouble with the choreography said it takes him 3 days while most other members learn in 1 day. They are amazing and the most hard working group I’ve ever seen. So much respect for them and their amazing struggle from early days to where they are now. You should check it out great story. Hi, bts is a group that main focus is on expressing the concerns of the modern society. They talk about things such as mental health, promote positivity, and encourage self confidence. All their songs connect into a whole series (like in the Star Wars movies how they all connect with each other). Their songs are all about the symbolism’s and theology and they messages. I'm glad you liked them❤ BTS is releasing new album on 18th May and they are going to perform at BBMAs on 20th. BTS is amazing group, they talk about things that most of artists don't, you watched more of their hypesongs, but in some of their music, BTS talks about mental health, female empowerment (sorry, I'm Finnish so I probably didn't write that right), political issues etc. They also share lots of their life with ARMYs (BTS fandom) and that's why we feel very close to them. BTS has helped so many of us who have been struggling with despression or other things and they really are kind and humble. They have grown so much even in year (which I have been ARMY) that it's unbelievable but they always remember to thank us first. We are all so excited for the comeback, only week left before it!❤

They aren't brothers but yes they're friends the oldest member is Kim Seokjin (Jin) the maknae (youngest) is Jeon jungkook main vocalist, the leader is Kim namjoom(Rapmonster). Min yoongi (Suga) and Jung hoseok (Jhope) are rappers including Rapmonster.Parkjimin (Jimin) is known for his high notes and dance moves while Kim taehyung (V) is known for his vocals and visuals. All of this is equivalent to BTS ARE GODDESSES....
