Ariel's age is never stated tho. In the original she's 16, but in the live action she was aged up so that the whole marriage thing at the end wouldn't be as weird, but an exact age is never given.

Little Mermaid is very well known, too well known, one of the most popular fairytale stories. The movie maker can represent its own version, but audience will decide at the end of the day. I love Halle but I wish Danielle played Ariel like not just because of her voice but her expressions, her innocent look and overall personality fits with the actual character plus they’re both near the same age, it would’ve been the perfect casting choice and Danielle has had some experience in theatre on stage as a kid which explains her long strong vocals. The fact her rendition of the song gives me goosebumps and makes me smile every time I re-listen to it just goes to show how good she really is.

Disney promotes the movie around the world, so it's a natural consequence that Halle gets a lot of views. on the other hands Danielle only dubed the Korea version of The Little Mermaid but she got 10M views and got attention worldwide. That is a proof of that many people think Danielle matches with Ariel. Just compare the number of likes between Daniel Ver and Halle Ver... you will know what the world want and likes...

@@user-oNoi9R7d Again, the number of views under Halle’s multiple videos doesn’t lie, she’s getting a lot… Also, again, Halle has two videos on KZbin, the studio recording and live performance, so the number of views/likes kind of gets divided between the two as some people will prefer getting live singing over a recording (granted some people may have liked both videos)… But again comparing only the KZbin numbers when Halle has a lot more posted on different platforms (where she has more likes than Danielle does on KZbin doesn’t make sense. On Instagram, she has over 900K likes, more than Danielle who has 528K. Now, if you look at TikTok the difference is much bigger, not only did Halle get many more views 17.8M compared to 10.6M. She also got 3.4M likes on that video ALONE. On Spotify, the other app where both versions were posted (that I have access to, there could be others), Danielle got 948K streams while Halle got 14.1M (over 14x more) and seeing how many monthly visitors New Jeans gets as well as the number of views on their songs, that is not for a lack of New Jeans and/or Danielle fans on Spotify… So please love and/or even prefer Danielle’s version all you like (I also think her version is good, although I prefer Halle’s), but stop using it to minimize Halle’s when it is abundantly clear, her version is more than well loved when looking at the number of views and likes on all the platforms it was posted on, especially TikTok. Trying to minimize the success of Halle’s version feels king of dishonest at this point. Also, this version of Part Of Your World was arranged specifically for Halle, which was the blueprint for all the dubbed versions around the world. There wouldn’t be a Danielle version (with the same arrangement) if Halle’s didn’t exist. It was made specifically for her and the other singers have to try to match it as much as possible… So please show respect for that as well… 🤷🏽‍♀️

제발 다음 디즈니 작품은 한국한테 만들라고 전해줘여. 흑인이라서 욕하는게 아니라 주인공하고 하나도 안똑같고 연기도 못하고 노래만 잘해...그래서 욕하면 꼭 흑인비하한데.. 아니 그럼 이쁘고 주인공 하고 비슷하게 생겼거나 비슷한 이미지라도 댈꾸오던지 그걸 다 덮을 연기력이러도 있던지....

인어공주의 가장 큰 문제는 연기력이 바닥이라는 거죠. 오히려 한국 개봉하면서 사람들 지적이 연기력이 었죠. 2시간 짜리 뮤직비디오도 아닌 영화에 연기력 없는 신인 여주에 3.5억 달러를 걸었으니.역시 디즈니임. 스케일이 다름.
