I cannot thank Dreamcatcher Company enough for the way they welcomed Dong back from China with absolute love. We knew the members would open their arms for her, but the way the company embraced her, gave her opportunities to shine, and went above and beyond for her birthday, is as heartwarming as Dong’s voice is. She has never looked better, sounded better, or seemed happier than she has these last eight months.

@@fikri465 Although I don't have personal experience with the company, I do think that that's true. No company or organization is perfect, but all the members seem happy with their situation and the environment always feels very family-like. The CEO seems down-to-earth and smart - admitting mistakes and learning from them (the biggest being MINX), which is a huge factor in overall success. Plus you see things like LEEZ & Ollounder having a long-term relationship with the company (as in-demand composers/producers they could easily walk away if they weren't happy) and Hwang Sooyeon returning to Happyface after her trainee group lost out on its chance to debut (clearly there was no bad blood and HFE was a place she wanted to work at).

@@fikri465 They are fairly clean, but yeah, HF has made "mistakes" in the past, albeit being very minor in comparison to what we see with others. Probably the most serious backlash I remember during Dreamcatcher's career was using a particular image of Mapo Bridge as part of the teasers during the first trilogy arc. The bridge is a common place where people commit suicide in Seoul. I can't remember all the details but, since suicide is always touchy subject, I think many misconstrued what HF did, so they had to take it down and issue an apology. But yeah, the important thing is that they take responsibility for whatever they do and at least seem to treat their artists better than the bigger management labels in the industry.

I really want Handong to cover a Utada Hikaru song one day after watching this. Passion/Sanctuary was my gateway into the Japanese music industry after playing Kingdom Hearts and Handong would absolutely nail her music.

DONGIE 😭😭😭 She's so beautiful and she sounds so good in this, I can't take it. And YES, she has definitely grown SO MUCH, both as a person and an artist. I've been biasing her from the start and I've always felt she gained a little more experience and confidence with each comeback, but she made a big leap after YWY2. She's thriving now and I totally believe that she went away to do her own thing and improve on her own so she could come back to DC stronger. And not to mention she was probably even more eager to return since she was stuck in China longer than planned. ANYWAYS I'm just super emo, I have a lot of feelings about Handong lol I'm so proud of her ;;;~;;; Thanks for reacting to her special clip
