Pretty sure the mugen bar is simply that 'mugen' is the Japanese word for 'infinite' or 'limitless', which is why he continues with synonyms for infinite immediately after, though there could certainly be more meanings to it that have gone over my head. Great reaction as always!!

I think the reason that there is multiple synonyms for infinite it’s because Gojo’s domain expansion is always translated differently it has been translated as infinite void, limitless void and unlimited void in the sj translation.

That Mugen reference was to the kind of "game" like having any character fight any character. In other words depending on your coding skills your roster of characters is "infinite"

So the Mugen bar was both a language flip and a reference. As other people have pointed out, mugen is essentially infinite in Japanese. Also however, MUGEN is a fighting game engine that was VERY popular YEARS ago but still has a nice following, it's defining feature was that it was designed so you could add custom characters (and so people recreated every popular character you can imagine for it) so it's "roster is limitless"
