The switch version got so many views because at that point of time neither Jackson mark or bam bam did a stage where they showcased they could sing. During that period of time they were way less confident about their singing so they always goofed around, this was the first time they did like a serious stage showing their vocals, they were suuuuuper stressed about it that’s why the other members look at the rap line proudly. People that discovers them like now knows they also sing so it’s less surprising but back then it was a total shock. This video was super viral went it got out that’s why there’s soooo many views. People were shook that the whole group and rap line included had also dope vocals. Since then the rap line got much more confident and included a lot more of their vocals. Also, Jackson said that he actually also trained vocally but chose to be a part of the rap line. No wonder they’re called one of the best live performancers and most versatile group Don’t know if you know but Jinyoung was actually a rapper in JJ project ( which was JayB and him that debuted before GOT7) he also had a lot of rap line in heir earlier songs. Yugyeom also always been in between and had a lot of rap parts around debut too.

when and where did jackson say he CHOSE to be in the rap line? Afaik, jype started training him in vocals at the start, and then THEY switched him to rap because the group needed a rapper. Just a few days ago, Jackson said in an interview that he never had vocal lessons before this year, so the vocal training at jype must have been very very short
