Yes he lost his sense of taste/smell after this incident and he became very depressed. He already had poor eyesight, he could never see right out to the crowd just a little at the front. Such a tragic loss. Still miss him dearly in Oz 😢

Never Tear Us Apart, a mini series on INXS explained what happened to Michael after he was assaulted. He lost his sense of taste, and suffered depression. If only there was a time capsule where we could have prevented that. Imagine the body of work INXS could have produced. RIP Michael Hutchence 🕊 This is a gorgeous song. I absolutely love it. Thanks Dei 🎉🎉🎉

@kazz3956 We've done so many INXS songs, but no one ever really does the later songs. We recently did Listen Like Thieves and Kiss The Dirt. These 2 songs, Elegantly Wasted and Beautiful Girl, they don't get much respect and I thought they deserves a reaction.

The Kick album was the band’s biggest commercial success and I wore out the cassette when it came out. Welcome to Wherever You Are was not nearly as popular, but for me is the album I go back to now because it has a lot of different elements. I appreciate bands trying new things.

Fantastic song from their 1992 album WELCOME TO WHEREVER YOU ARE. This is a great album and an incredible song. "Heaven Sent" is another incredible song on this album, as well as "Not Enough Time". But as a whole it is solid. Andre Farris wrote this song with Michael after his daughter was born and he realized his life had changed incredibly and he was really very positive but Michael was still interested in writing darker, personal lyrics. The song ended up being used in campaigns for Anorexia.

it wasn't berlin, or a nighclub. it was copenhagen, and with his girlfriend Hellena. they were having pizza, and someone knocked michael off his bike, a taxi driver b/c michael wasn't moving out of his way fast enough. He was let go without treatment, and spent a month at his GF's house vomiting continually, and unable to get out of bed. when he finally went to get scanned he had suffered irrepearable damage, and lost his senses of taste and smell. where before he was a very calm and sweet person he would lose control of his emotions in ways he couldn't stop. I'm convinced it caused the later events in hise life and led to his death. the person responsible was never apprehended, and a very sweet man was killed. it took him years to finally die, but I'm convinced that's what killed him. it breaks my heart. can you imagine knowing you aren't yourself, but there isn't a thing you can do to stop it?

He suffered a traumatic brain injury. It wasn't something that the medical field was as familiar with in the early 90s, so he never got proper treatment. For sure, it played a part in his eventual demise.

@kimzwolinski9919 I think you've been on this Wolfhunterz INXS journey from maybe the very start. I was actually scared to request that first INXS song, What You Need from Wembley. Turn out so well that we've never looked back. For these 2 songs, I just wanted to finish up with older songs that few people react to. INXS were never washed up. There were making great music right till the end.

@Rod-p8k it Is excellent, Jimmy is phenomenal and had his own solo career, he is level with John Farnham in regards respect When Jimmy and John became sick this year, the whole country basically shut down. Cold chisel song “flame trees” is phenomenal
