Such a powerful voice combined with total control! What I especially love about kd Lang is the way she never short-changes the low notes...they are as amazing as the high notes she sings. You don't come across a voice like hers often, but when you do - Wow!!!

Powerful performance of Roy Orbison's classic pop ballad. I feel truly blessed to have seen k.d. in concert twice in the 90s. You might be surprised, but her first three albums were country music. K.d. lang and the Reclines (her band) introduced a new genre called "cowpunk". Angel with a Lariat featured high energy, danceable waltzes, polkas, and zydeco music. Shadowland was a more traditional country western album produced by county legend Owen Bradley. Then her last album before going mainstream pop was Absolute Torch and Twang which was totally "riding tall in the saddle", cowboy music. Great stuff❤
