The backstory for this song is that it was inspired by her own battles with eating disorders when she was younger, and the struggle to break out of that cycle and re-take control of her life. As a couple others have mentioned, a later song "Lost Girls" is kind of a sequel to this one, essentially picking up where it left off (breaking out of the snow globe) and is an allegory for battling with relapsing into the old destructive ways because they were "familiar" and "comfortable". I always tell people to view them back to back to follow the storyline.

Lizzy Hale is a very strong vocalist of the band called Halestorm! I'm sure that from this band Halestorm - Misery business is a must! 😃

I absolutely adore the way you get into the song, not enough reactors do that! You don't care how you look, you just dance along and have fun. Keep doing what you're doing and just be yourself

Lzzy Hale has done a few performances with Amy Lee too that you'd probably enjoy. But yeah, anything by her group Halestorm is awesome. "Love Bites", "I Miss the Misery" "Here's to Us", "Mz Hyde", "Break In", and "I am the Fire" are my recommendations.

Yay! I've been impatiently waiting for you to do more Lindsey Stirling. This is one of her older songs from her Shatter Me album but one of my favorites still. Thank you for the react!

its funny that you mention that this song's got an Evanescence vibe to it because Lindsey wrote this song with Amy Lee in mind for the vocals 😂 Lzzy Hale of Halestorm ended up doing it and she did so AWESOME. I love her vocals. Lindsey later on got to tour with Evanescence and had Amy sing the vocals live, as well as collab on an Evanescence song. its all on youtube if you wanna watch. edit: scrolled through the comments and saw someone else said it too lol. definitely check it out, even in your own time!

You should react to Lost Girls and Arena. Lost Girls is like an after video for shatter me and Arena is almost a dance video Lindsey is a great dancer
@brandonappling3 жыл бұрын
It's funny you said it reminds you of Amy Lee because Lindsey wrote it with her in mind back in the day lol. But she didn't know her and Lzzy did it and was great. Lindsey is a huge Evanescence fan and they have done 2 songs together. One of hers and one of theirs.

actually Lindsey knew Amy, its just Amy Lee were pregnant/ on maternal vacation so to speak and weren't available ro record the song. So it was done with Lzzy Hale.

Lindsey Stirling is a total nerd, and proud of it. Her "Star Wars Medley" with the A Capella singer Peter Hollens is awesome, as is her "End Game Of Thrones", which shows off her playing and dance skills. I also recommend her "Phantom Of The Opera Medley". For Lzzy Hale my recommendation is "Song Of Women" with The Hu band, they are unlike anything you have ever heard before, unless you have played Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. You have a good list of artists that you have reacted to, but there are some mind blowing ones you should definitely check out. Diana Ankudinova "Wicked Game", Marcelito Pomoy "The Prayer", The TNT Boys "Flashlight", Voiceplay "Queen In 5 Minutes " and Acapop Kids "Bohemian Rhapsody/Somebody To Love" mashup. Other recommendations are Nightwish "Ghost Love Score" and One Voice Children's Choir's cover of the Lincoln Park song "One More Light".

To answer your question. Lindsey LOVES to play dress up for both her music videos and her concerts. Shes also done gaming music like Legend of Zelda and she dressed up for that as well lol I dont think shes actually cosplayed? But she does help make/alter alot of her own and her dancers clothing for her videos/concerts. She also buys clothing from places like etsy's and kinda just alters them to the way she likes. :) She helps come up with the ideas of some of them, sketches them out and everything. Granted she does have people helping with the making of them and such but she does play a big part in basically everything she does. :) shes her own boss/label. She doesn't have a label she likes it that way cause she can have control in everything she does. She helps produce her videos comes up with the ideas for them the clothing even some of the lighting and videography. She does have help with things but she basically does it all and likes it that way. :) She also edits her own videos as well. Shes very freaking talented. :)

You have listened to some great singers, consider listening to the the best female vocalist today. Check out Floor Jansen's cover of Heart's Alone. Link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5fYXqyGa9Zpfc0 She is also the front woman of the symphonic metal band Nightwish.
