So happy you are doing lots of Marillion, lots of people need to discover this great band.

I used to look down to the lake from my English classroom. Only for Marillion to write a song and then be part of the Bluebird recovery. As much about Campbells wife waiting for a man risking his life for the pursuit of a dream.

Seasons End live from the same gig is amazing and emotional, and is about Global Warming, written in 1989/90. Take Care.

This song is really out of this world (its title couldn't be more appropriate). Afraid of Sunlight is one their best albums. May I suggest you react to the song "Afraid of Sunlight"'?

As has been suggested repeatedly in the comments section, Ocean Cloud is an excellent suggestion for you to react to. It's another long form piece of story telling. It's inspired by and in tribute to Don Allum. I've included the link to his wiki page and his story. You could just do a reaction to the track without any prior knowledge of the subject matter, or read his story and then do a reaction to it. Alternately, you could do an initial reaction, pause the taping, read about Don Allum, restart the recording and see if or how it might have changed your thoughts about it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Allum

I've looked around and these are probably the best two versions of Ocean Cloud live on KZbin. This one was filmed in 2009 at one of Marillion's Conventions. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iGPKhI2OptWlaMk

This one is the audio only of their last live tour in 2019, with their Friends from the Orchestra, so you'll have to create the visuals in your minds eye. Decisions, decisions.... kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zmiue513mc1qZsk

Lovely and thoughtful reaction to a huge fan favourite, a song with a huge backstory eventually leading to the finding and raising of the "boat", including the remains of Donald Campbell. Steve sang at his funeral in the village of Coniston by the lake on which he died over 30 years previous. I live very close to the place and the story still goes on to this day. You really must react to "Ocean Cloud" - live if possible and also"The Invisible Man" Steve Hogarths performance on this is simply stunning kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4G9cqigitChj9U&start_radio=1

The song is about Donald Campbell - something of a national hero in the UK - attempting to break "300 miles an hour on water" in 1967, which sadly resulted in his death. Below is a link to the Wiki page about Donald Campbell, his life and the how the song resulted in his body finally being recovered after being missing for 34 years. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Campbell#Rocket_car_plans_and_final_water_speed_record_attempt

Are you saving up your spare change, young lady? Tickets for the Montreal Marillion Weekend, July 1-3, 2022, will be going on sale in September or October. Three completely different live concerts in a rather small venue with no bad places to watch the show. These guys aren't spring chickens anymore, and won't be able to go on forever. $195 Cdn. for all three shows, main floor standing.

I'd love to go!! I don't know if I can, but I can try my best.
