As a State fan I was as pleased as I could be with this performance. We looked so so bad against Toledo and Florida that there was no reason to think this game would be close beyond the coin toss. And the game was fairly tight through the first 2.5 quarters. While I don't think Texas was every in danger of losing it they weren't able to separate themselves from State until the end of the 3rd. State made it a, pardon the pun, a dawg fight in some ways. I think the game was decided for sure when we found ourselves with a 3rd and 18 and gave up a big sack. I think it was then when I knew for sure it was about to be a different game. But I respect the effort from the players and coaches of my Bulldogs. I've been harsh on them this year and rightfully so but I think they showed well in this game (where they were outmatched in every way).

Tbh I think sark secretly wanted Arch to "face adversity." Watch the after game interview. Its almost like he liked that it was "close." Like it's good for Arch and the team.I know that's kind of tinfoil but if you watch sark interviews after you'll see what I'm saying. I also have this weird feeling Arch might be starting against OU. Idk, but it's like this weird feeling I have. I could be wrong of course tho

@@drew7155 There may be some truth to that. I thought the lack of running against a run defense that had been atrocious was interesting. And maybe they wanted to give Arch more time passing. But I doubt they would have wanted it to be close like that for so long. One weird bounce can change a game. I don't think there is anything from that game that should concern Texas of course. I'm just glad to have seen the effort from the MSU team because at times earlier in the year that was in question. This was always bout to be a Texas win.

@jaygremillion the game was close for a while, but it never broached the line where real fear sets in. It came close to that line but never crossed. I'll put my tinfoil hat back on. It's odd that Ewers sat this game, and it just so happens to be at the 4 games mark. Like he could get an injury exception and het another year of eligibility. And go make 2-3 million bucks at another school. If it's sark job to put the best team on the field to give the best chance of winning,....🤷. It's a shame bc Ewers is very good , but Arch is so ready. And he's a legitimate duel threat. And he has a better long ball. It is what it is 🤷 idk
