About 20m later I heard someone having a go with trumpet in my flat. Than, I switched back, and it was 2-1 for us. But the game hadn’t finished. Had too much bear at to many snacks. But, what a game it was.

@@rw3899 As soon as the Dutch team touched the ball, there were deafening whistles from the Turkish fans with the aim of breaking the Dutch players' concentration. And at 2 a.m. the night before the game, Turkish fans set off loud fireworks outside the Dutch team's hotel to deprive the players of their sleep. Apparently they did the same with the Austrians. Such behavior is totally unsportsmanlike and lacks any sense of fairness. The demonstrative wolf salute completes the picture of Turkish aggression. Too bad Turkey, your players were good, your fans unfortunately a disaster. 🙄 Instead of cultivating your doggedness, you should take a lesson from the Dutch and adopt their humor and dance moves. 😉

I'm always too nervous to watch the whole match. But when the Dutch score a goal I find out because someone in my neighbourhood lightens some fireworks and goes back inside to watch the rest of the match. Then I switch channels on my tv to see what happened. 🙄😁 Later on I watch the recap.

I couldn't follow the match because of football disliking guests in the house. I have Turkish neighbors as well as Dutch. When the first goal was made I thought the dutch scored. We had a slow start , our passing to stationary players was gut renching in the first half. But in the second half we started to build up speed and fast passes and that opened up the Turkish defense. But also in the end we for some reason gave them free shots in front of our goal which could have ended horribly, i think that really must be focused on because you cannot do that against countries like Spain who in my humble opinion will be one of the countries in the finals. But a great win against a strong opponent, the turks are no joke and will always fight with passion. Shame for the riots in berlin and in Holland itself, but what does not reach the news was that there were turkish and Dutch fans that respectfully watched together and showed respect to each other , which is what football is all about.

This was a great game. I had given up hope after the first half, but they really went to work in the second half. Against England is going to be a slow match, Netherlands needs to be very careful in the mid-field. The English will be full-on defense waiting for a counter, as they usually do -- the cowards. Hopefully we will manage to puncture them and score a point, then the match will come alive.

Wow! I am amazed Fußball fans know where left and where right is! Yeah I know, not a popular opinion but I hate Fußball. I live next to a two soccer stadiums and the amount of trouble is not countable. Extreme dumbness, booze, noise sometimes from 6.30 to 11.30 in at night, the balls shot on our parked cars across the street, shooting mirrors off, disappointed drunk men ripping our windshield wipers off, throwing trash cans around ….. A ball turns these people into cavemen. And those guys make millions running after a ball like toddlers in a playground while real heroes save lives and work in nursing homes.
