It would massively help grow the international game if the NBA champions played the Euroleague Champions, regardless of the final result. The same way the Dream Team knew they'd win Olympic gold, but they all still played to become World Champions, and in turn, their celebrity helped the game internationally. We're seeing the results now decades later with 4 out of 5 of the best players in the NBA being from overseas.

NBA teams have played Euroleague teams but it was only an exhibition plus the rules are different because the NBA has a bigger court with longer 3 point lines and different rules defensively.

A compromise on the FIBA vs NBA rules would also have to be agreed. I STRONGLY recommend everyone who believes the NBA champs are world champions to watch more international games, FIBA or Olympics or otherwise. While yeah US is good, other countries especially Spain are not fodder. They play more team oriented ball which the US is slowly deviating from. Some of the greatest players come from overseas and the greatest teams have foreign players as a key role. Many Ginobili being just one example. To the point dude was trying to make in the video, Victor was the #1 overall draft pick and was said to possibly be the greatest draft prospect ever. I find it hard to believe there’s just that one outlier talent and then just a bunch of pocket lent in comparison.
