I feel that Norwegian humor is little similar to British humor. A lot of our classical tv shows (Fleksnes, Fredrikssons fabric, theater like “ rett i lomma) is from the UK, but translated into Norwegian. And we love that kind of humor 😊 I grew up watching Fawlty Towers, Monty python, Keeping up appearances, Mr Bean and allo allo on Norwegian television.

They use to say "every workplace need a northener" just because most northeners are more social, open, honost and can participate to create a good work environment. The northern accent is often easier to understand for foreighers because we speak maybe a bit more "flat". Finnmark, all the way on top of Norway and Europe have the dialect that is closest to bokmål because many of our ancestors spoke the sami language and learned to speak Norwegian at school. As my daughers danish boyfriend say, I understand when you speak norwegian, but have trouble with your daugher who is grown up in Trondheim in the middle.

Stereotype. Just like Narcissism, Introvert is the new word to be thrown around, yet few actually know what it is. And it’s definitely not to hate people or social interactions like most do believe.

Norway has hundreds of dialects. You could say that every city, every settlement has its own dialect. The most extreme in Norway must be in the western region around Bergen, where every island and arm of the fjord has its own dialect. Even the capital Oslo has two dialects.

I live on the countryside, in the mountains in the southern part of Norway. In a small village with a population of only 1600 people, and I’m definitely not an introvert😉

I'd say the more north you go? The sadder and weirder people are haha (darker and colder the more north you go, lots of alcohol). Around the Oslo area is the better place, and I'm not from here, moved here 10 years ago. People in Oslo (the biggest city) are more used to people and different kinds of people. Therefore people in Oslo and around Oslo are more open and used to different kinds of people, which is a good thing! We also have the best pizzas in Norway in Oslo: Mamma Pizza in the city center of Oslo? Fantastic italian pizza. You are very welcome!

Janteloven is very strong in Norway, even if never spoke of. That means we're very humble. We do not like to stand out and/or bother people.

Peppes has the best known pizza. But all places have their own local pizzeria and it is usually as good if not better than Peppes. My favorite is Manis where I live

Everyone introverted? Absolutely not true, same as everywhere else people are different, same distribution between intro and extro. What it is in Norway though is that people are more reserved in talking small talk with strangers, same as other countries in the north, Russia, Finland etc.

The best place to eat Pizza in Norway is "Peppes"! And when Norwegians eat pizza at home, it is most often a frozen pizza, and most will serve "Grandiosa". The ones we eat 25 million of a year!

Norwegians can be very nasty to each other, friends for life are often friends from primary school, and others are not often allowed in. Some will of course say this is wrong, but unfortunately the facts

This happens all over the world, so it’s not a Norwegian thing.
