There's also a social commentary in this. How the social context of Swedens social democrats and union organisation and tradition are huge in Sweden, while alot of things in Sweden being privatised also. On top of that, we have how the military going back and forth between conscription and professional army, the dialogue of improving the working conditions and salary for soilders (or airmen) Vs the nature of some jobs.

Love the inspiration on the ending, it's like the guys from serious sam game. I think you missed that part on your reaction, the guy was on a self destruction mission it's why you hear him scream until the boom.

Had to give the "shooting the german" some thought but its actually clever depiction of someone that are qualified for the job but still seen as the wrong person by management. Can also be that I over analysed it and they just did not know what to do with the german so they shoot him.

Agreed, and most of the stuff he reacts to goes under free use so there's no need for it anyway. And in the case if it's needed just do it like other reactors, blurring the scene temporarily.
