Even forgetting the puppet element, Randy Feltface is legit one of the best Australian comedians working today! His special "Smug Druggles" is available on his KZbin channel and it's absolutely brilliant :D

I think the special where this part is from, Randy writes a Novel, is his best program to date. I love all the other ones but this one has a special place in my heart ;D

Randy Feltface is comedy gold, he used to be in a comedy duo with another comedian/satirist, Sammy J., funny stuff, a lot of musical comedy, they had their own TV show for a while, kind of like a sitcom. They still do stuff together sometimes, but I prefer Randy on his own honestly. Great reaction as always, thank you. ❤

I think he's great alone BUT those musical duets were incredible!

It's so easy to forget that Randy is a puppet when listening to him. His puppeteer is supremely talented. Even though his head is just a purple shape with fixed eyes, he seems to be able to express emotion somehow.
@tattoodude8946 Жыл бұрын
I really cannot figure out how he operates the arms with only one hand. It is crazy how much life he breathes into Randy.
@tattoodude8946 Жыл бұрын
What really cracks me up is that Randy Feltface has a Wikipedia page but the man operating him does not. That is just hysterical to me that the man's puppet is more famous than he is. But I have to say, it is brilliant. You get all the benefits of being famous without any of the bothersome negatives like being constantly recognized and bothered while in the middle of a meal! 🤣

Fantastic, what a great storyteller! I was picturing Morgan in my head, like he was real! Yes, Gumtree buying is always a weird, unique and stressful experience! 😳👍

I believe the puppeteer who controls Randy used to work with the Jim Henson company, which is why his gestures and body movements look so good 😀

I've seen this bit a few months ago for the first time and my reaction was more or less the same as yours. After watching it a couple more times I noticed something: Randy, the puppet, clearly is very well handled on a master level, sure. But I think what makes it so special is his storytelling. Lots of details, carefully crafted sentences that triggers emotions while also get the illusion that all is very quick paced while it isn't really (the whole story takes 20 minutes yet they feel like 5 maximum). It is an artform that gets kind of forgotten these days with internet, movies and all that. I think on stages only great comedians perform at this level anymore. So, I tip my hat to Randy Feltface

What a fantastic story....seriously must have happened, there's so much detail! Randy is brilliant!
@scar445 Жыл бұрын
fun fact: When people retell a true story, they stick to the bare basics. When people lie, they build, and build, and build, adding more and more details, to make it believable. psychology is fascinating

This is part of a longer piece called "Randy writes a novel" If it is possible you simply must watch it. It is a journey down the tangled web of philosophical meanderings. Well, I say "journey", more of a stumbling segway interrupted stumble.😁 ✌my fellow human

situational comedy is always going to be hit and miss! You need to understand and have empathy towards the situation and be able to see the funny side of it even though it is not necessarily funny at all. Shows like Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, Mother and Son are all classic comedy's of this type that some people cannot stand because they can't see the funny side of the situations.
@karlso7314 Жыл бұрын
I can’t stand Sammy J and Randy!! I think it’s so effing stupid. Definitely not the best Australia has to offer! 👎
