Finally welcoming the new era! My heart was racing when I saw their profile photo change that night, then minutes later, the SaW teaser was released. Very exciting. Let’s go, SB19!!! 💠 Also, the musical scoring is giving! Goosebumps!! And, those songs- What, Nyebe, Kalakal, Gento, Mapa, WYAT, I Want You- are some of which I can recognize. 😊 As they mentioned in their previous interviews, there will be 6 songs for every EP on this trilogy. Pagsibol EP (released) - 6 tracks Pagtatag EP (released) - 6 tracks Simula at Wakas EP - 6 tracks That’s a total of 18 songs for A’tin. So witty!

The music track includes their hit songs What, Kalakal, Gento, Wyat, Mapa and I Want You. The references on their songs are the flag/scaffolding from What, compass/ref from Bazinga, globe/mapa from Mapa, bench from Nyebe, jeepney cart from Kalakal, dome from Moonlight, cave from Gento, the light inside the cave from Ilaw and scattered blood on the Pagtatag tape from Crimzone. The apple is the period which is the symbol of Simula at Wakas. Their 1st trilogy which was Pagsibol had question mark (?) and Pagtatag had exclamation point (!). But there is a more deeper meaning when the lady picked up the apple. Perhaps, their sacrifices and efforts are now bearing fruits which not only them could harvest but the whole Ppop community. And their sacrifices and hardships on their journey to success are depicted on their outfits and bodies. Justin looks like blind because of his light-colored eyes, Stell’s shoulders are not even, the right shoulder is lower than the left, Pablo has dirty and scarred face, Josh has burnt arms and hands, Ken’s face and arms are hidden.

Pano ba higitan ang sagad na? = How can you surpass/exceed something that has already reached its limit; Simula at Wakas = Beginning and End (only referring to the trilogy of EPs: Pagsibol (?), Pagtatag (!) and SAW (.), not the band). The trilogy contains a total of 18 songs, a shout out to A'tin. Even the release dates have been carefully thought out: 1. Single release 2/28/25 is 2 + 2 + 8 + 2 + 5 = 19; 2. EP release 4/25/25 is 4 + 2 + 5 + 2 + 5 = 18. Song references in order of appearance: compass, globe, loose map = MAPA flag, scaffolding, loose map = WHAT refrigerator = BAZINGA cassette recorder = WYAT bench = NYEBE dome = MOONLIGHT cart beside the dome = KALAKAL cave, caution tape = GENTO bloody cave = CRIMZONE some say water in the cave = I WANT YOU, though i think that's a bit of a stretch some say ray of light coming into the cave = ILAW, which again, i think is a stretch Songs as they are played: WHAT, KALAKAL, MAPA. Some say GENTO, NYEBE are in there too, but I don't hear it 😢. Woman under the tree of life is open to anyone's interpretation. My take is that the boys planted the seed in Pagsibol for PPOP to be recognized as a genre here and abroad. The seed is strengthened and develops into a full grown tree in Pagtatag where not only PPOP is recognized but the boys opened the door for the world to appreciate OPM. Simula at Wakas opens with a fully developed tree that has borne fruit and everyone is welcome to partake of its fruit. Then you see the boys walking away from the tree because their mission doesn't stop there. There's plenty more "trees" to plant and grow for the boys to fully bring Filipino music into the world.
