In my opinion, everyone that watches kdrama regularly should watch My Mister at some point. This drama is what really solidified IU as a great actress to me. She doesn't have a ton of dialogue, but you can understand and feel everything portrayed in her eyes.

"My Mister" One of my favorite dramas. IU and Lee Sun-kyun's acting really breaks my heart even when I watch it. I highly recommend watching this drama, not only for the song. It's on Netflix. It's so sad that I'll never see actor Lee Sun-kyun's acting again. .. There are many famous lines in this drama that really give strength in life.

for me, my mister is one of the greatest kdramas, the writing, the acting, the way it was filmed its out of this world. also, im a strong believer that this drama positioned IU as a really great actress in the industry, she was able to evoque everykind of emotion, her eyes were telling a story the whole time. If you liked the gloom but hopefull storytelling i would recomend you to watch "my liberation notes" is from the same gionist, and evoques a similar feeling, it dives in other topics but i feel like it has the same efectt of making you see life differently once you finish it (im sorry for my english)

I fell in love with IU at first sight in Hotel del Luna, but when I watched My Mister later I was overwhelmed. That drama has a deepness that is hard to find in tv shows. It makes me cry but also makes me breath 🥹 She is ASTONISHING!!! I could discuss for hours every scene, every detail and every meaning that Jian's gaze conveys to me. Your english is good. No apology needed. I adore this drama. I have seen it many times and it never fails to bring me to tears. I think they are tears of joy watching 2 good people saving each other. Typing about it makes me emotional. I demonstrated just how great an actress IU is. The scenes with her grandmother! So incredibly moving. Thank you, IU.

Thank you for the undeserved compliment 😅 I love every scene with grandmother❤ There are many emotional scenes that move me to tears, but the first 3 (and I don't know the precise reasons), are the one on the train when he explains to her that her grandmother has the right to go to a shelter for free, the one in which the monk asks him if he would like a life of sacrifice for his son, and therefore why he is living one, and the one in which Jian apologizes ten times on the road...😭

IU was so good in My Mister and she gained so much more respect as as actress and I’m so glad I watched this drama and I recommend everyone to watch it to appreciate everyone around you and try to be nice to people who loves you and try help someone in need and know that can change someone’s life! IU sang this song during one of her concert and of course she was good! How can you not love IU?! 💜💙

I really love this movie, I can't watch it without tears. I've watched this series 6 times and every time I find something new for myself. And now, after the death of the main character, it is very difficult. The acting is very incomparable.

I love '보통의 하루( An Ordinary Day)' and 'Dear Moon' (lyrics by IU) from My Mister OST as much as 'Adult'. Sondia is a really good singer. One of my favorites. She has a similar voice, but IU is IU. There is nothing like her tone. I would love to see her sing this in a quality recording.

I watched this when it came out where i had to wait for next episodes. I remember thinking there is nothing like this that Ive seen and Ive been watching Kdrama since 2001. It is simply brilliant, amazing ensemble cast. I cant listen to this song without crying. I miss Lee Sun Kyun. There are many celebrity passings but his cut so deep 😭

It was really hard to watch when I saw IU get beaten...but I continued on. A friend of mine said it was worth it. It was. In the end I felt uplifted and not depressed. It showed a beautiful friendship and love. Watching them overcome it all with each other's support was inspirational. I loved it. I felt really good at the end.

Hello Zev, I have a question for you. Have you ever been in Korea? Since you have worked in the IT industry for a long time, I assume you have visited Korea a lot, is that correct?

No. At the time I began programming, the heart of the personal computer software business was right here in northern california. I received visitors from Japan and Korea from large hardware companies looking for software for their new personal computers. After that I worked with a lot of informational databases building the middle layer (technical term). I really want to go. My wife and I had plans for our first trip in the spring of 2020 and the pandemic hit so we had to cancel. We tried again in early 2022 but the isolation requirements made it impossible. My wife is a French teacher (who will retire this summer) so we could only go during school breaks. We will finally get to Korea next spring. I can't wait to see the architecture, eat the food and absorb what I can.

@@zevdoeskdrama I thought you must have had a lot of experience in Korea since I saw you having Korean dishes made with original recipes. As you know, Korean food is unique and isolated as the Korean language is. which means you have to be familiar with them to like them.

I love to cook. I became interested in korean food watching korean dramas. It looked delicious. I am a fan of spicy food. I live near San Francisco so I have gone to korean restaurants to learn how dishes should taste. Some of mine are as good as theirs. I cook korean once a week or more. I am really facinated by korean culture, food, architecture, etc.
