Alright here’s some lore about this game, easy to kinda catch up: The black man with red eyes is an Experiment the guy who appears out of thin air is Agent B6, the snake is Agent S. You are locked in a simulation where the world outside has gone to trash. You have arrived on the Transport. Remember that loud screeching or roar at the start of anytime they start playing? That was the sea monster when they tried to do the Boat ending. I will name the mercs by name (they, the red eyes black man, are AI) here are there official names: Alpha squad, first merc wave, Commander, Gunner, Spotter, Medic and sniper. Bravo squad (aka as Tank says, “The Albanians”) consist of: Specialist, Ghost, Operator and his drone, Firebug, Demoman. Isle has a Wikipedia or fandom for more info.
