The song is about her being in love with an other girl, her mother and the society disapproving, religion etc

Ok Didy, it seems I will get even more addicted to your channel than I thought after your reaction to Lara this morning ;=) I am a recent fan to Pomme but she very quickly jumped at the top of my favorite list with ... Lara, as you already know. Let me share the few I know and try to answer some of your questions then recommend you some gems I discovered. - Yes she wrote the lyrics and composed this song, Same for another song in her first album (song "La Lavande") and for ALL or her songs in her second album ("Les failles" which can be translated as "the failures" or "the rifts") - She plays autoharp since she is 14 yo, she explained she discovered this instrument as an absolute fan of the folk and country music ( fan of Joan Baez, Dolly Parton, ...) - she plays also guitar (beautifully) and many types of keyboards. - She defines her music as Authentic, Acoustic and Sad. She said there is always hope in her songs however. For some of her songs, hope is visible at the surface and some others, you have to dig down. - Her lyrics are poetic, she loves to leave room for personal interpretation and reinterpretation. This is something she discussed with Aurora recently in a live stream and they were both in the same direction here (as for many other things BTW). You can check this incredible conversation (in english, after the first couple minutes from Pomme in french): kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4C0iHmLoL2lg5I - She is getting a lot of recognition in France, she has won the Best Newcomer Album award in Les Victoires de la musique 2020 (France music award ceremony) and she has won the best female singer award in the 2021 edition. I would recommend for your next reactions to Pomme (any of these is great, but this is my personal rank list): - Les cours d'eau kzbin.info/www/bejne/sHmaZomui6iCjZo - La lumière kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJCoYaOnm8R7qpI - Les Oiseaux kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqGxpYB7Yspjjrs - Une minute kzbin.info/www/bejne/pqC6eX-VbKplp68 - Anxiété kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYC1hKKaeKt9jck - Grandiose kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYa9nqSbfryXabM - Soleil Soleil kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJ-meomtpb6rmJo - Adieu mon Homme kzbin.info/www/bejne/jHqwi4qPeNetqZI - Les Sequoias kzbin.info/www/bejne/h5SboX2le5Konsk as well as a few covers: - Göttingen kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpnVc3yEgNqHe5Y - Umbrella kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3aYdZWkdtCVZ9k - Can't help falling in Love kzbin.info/www/bejne/f2XFdWSHo7-Ymas

The song of hers most pertinent for our current world difficulties is "2019" in which she sings: "il faut fuire nos propres terres we must flee our own lands nos maisons et les vallées our houses and the valleys car la haine est incendiaire because hate is incendiary on laissera les armoises brûler¨ we shall let the wormwood burn It doesn't get much simpler and more direct than that as to the effects of hatred worldwide. (while being absolutely beautifully and poetically sung :)

Hello, I've watched/listened to a lot about Pomme in the meantime. I now have my own playlist for Pomme. She's gorgeous. You were right. Thank you for the nudge in the right direction.

Fyi Sofar is a type of intimate concerts happening in many cities WW: you register for a concert in a small place (sometimes revealed at the last minute) and you don’t know who will be the 3 performers or groups invited. These are new artists not yet mainstream. Pomme did a few ones in Paris and Montreal when she was not yet widely known

Hi Diddy, I also met Pomme through her collaboration with AURORA on Everything Matters. I've heard many of her songs and I'm hooked. However, this is time consuming for me. I can not speak French. I had Latin at school. I listen to the song and then look for the lyrics and have them translated or look for a ready-made translation. I don't trust Google translator. It is sometimes mistranslated. And even I can see that. Then I hear the song at least once more - usually even more often. But it's worth it. Pomme is a great storyteller and not unlike AURORA. However, in many cases the music is like the beautiful old French chansons. I especially like "Pauline". - Pauline kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHXRZaecZZJ2pqs Have a nice day and Greetings from Germany

Hello again Diddy :-) This was a excellent choice. And Pomme is an excellent artist. I strongly believe this is a song about forbidden love. "We will both burn in hell, my Angel". "I apologize to the Gods" . And she talks about her mother's prayers for things to change or to be different. "BUT I want to go with you" (Despite those prayers). I'm pretty sure this song talks about love between the same sex. Which makes sense, as Pomme is gay. (Maybe you didn't know that.) - Which, again, may also be one of the reasons why Aurora and Pomme have found each other on a personal level. Aurora is also bi-sexual. I strongly advice you to subscribe to SOFAR. I have been subscribed for almost 2 years, and I have found an incredible amount of GREAT artists, that I would otherwise probably never have heard of. Much like you through your channel :-) KEXP is also a good choice and source in that regard. Not to talk about NPR Music and their Tiny Desk Concerts. That's for istance where I found St. Paul And The Broken Bones. Check their mini desk concert out. I promise you won't regret it. Or maybe just start with their song "Call Me" :kzbin.info/www/bejne/sGjWanRpqJ2crJo I don't give you recommendations very often, but watch out when I do. LOL Have a great week !

Plus, in the French lyrics, she says "toutes les deux" instead of "tous les deux" to refer to both herself and the one she loves. Both phrases mean "both,"' but "toutes" is the feminine alternative to the word "tous." Traditionally -- because French, as a Latin language, is very gendered -- "tous les deux" would be the phrase she would use if she were singing about being in love with a man. So she's actually being very up front with making it known that the song is about a woman in love with another woman. :)

@@riomochaccino2108 Thank you for analizing this as a gay song...and yes this is really gay song which was written to Pomme,s girlfriend Safia and they sung this song even together😃but then they really broken up and Safia has written Lesbian broken song- here it is- kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYnEe2B3h9tlnLc And they also were singing it together. But now they are again together😇living in Canada and currently they are going to have a concert in France singing Celine Dion( who is their idol) songs together...so this is happy love story🤩

Gracias. Un saludo dese Argentina. Me suscribo.
