Can't stop watching this first 8 minutes and I don't have any ties to the community, I just love Lin and his work and how his passion comes through. Even I have been grtting emotional at this, just something in the music and the comeraderie between the characters. Can't wait to see the full movie and your reaction!

That riff when he says "The A train" is a direct musical quote from Duke Ellington, "Take The A Train". Daniela is Daphne Rubin-Vega, who originated the role of Mimi from Rent on Broadway.

Oh, and if you feel comfortable, go see it in a theater. The crown was so into it. Every applauded after this number and throughout. I got emotional just from that.

I can't wait to see the complete film! I'll probably have to wait until next week, but I'm so excited! Just these first eight minutes sold me completely; they nailed the vibes, especially the dynamic between Sonny and Usnavi. It's everything I hoped for and more.

I hit to see this in a socially distanced movie theater last night and it was amazing! I had not seen the play or even heard the music before, but I am a bud Hamilton fan. You can defund hear how this led to Hamilton and the film is so good. Your reaction was great and i enjoyed watching it. Looking forward to your full reaction and seeing what your favorite parts are. I have mine but won’t spoil on this video. Cheers!

I’ve never seen the musical in its entirety but I’ve seen some parts. Watching this one was so amazing it made me feel so connected to being Puerto Rican from nyc and it’s pretty cool to look at a scene in a movie and be like “wow I’ve been there”
