That really breathy waver the lead singer and guitarist does with his voice is actually his natural vibrato! His name is Woosung! He was born in America and he’s fluent in English! His English name is Sammy.

I’m so happy you discovered The Rose!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ they are so talented and I love their music. If you want some throw backs to some of my fave K rock is FT Island, Nell and Guckkasten. For Indie try Hyukoh 👍 Several K rock bands lost members last year to scandals and a couple are in jail currently, but I’m hoping Hongki of FT Island can revive his group because his voice needs to be heard ❤️

I recommend the live version of ILYSB. Woosung got these shivers in his voice and it makes me crazy every time I hear it! Eventhough they're not kpop idols who dance, I can't stop looking at Woosungs presence. You can see this something in his eyes, he really feels what he is singing and I admire Woosung for that!

I’m so glad you heard the Coldplay vibe because the Rose mentioned several times that they’re their role models! I recommend checking out their Song Baby (nice drums!) and their cover of ILYSB (Woosung’s singing is just incredible here).

yay, thanks for checking them out! I saw them live last year it's an EXPERIENCE they're amazing. I hope you'll check out more from them. "baby" "she's in the rain" "like we used to" and their cover of "ILYSB" are a good place to start. One of my favourite songs from them is "I don't know you" but there's no music video so you'd have to watch a lyric video. Unfortunately they recently left their agency because of some serious issues (they said they haven't been paid in all the three years after their debut) so I don't know when we'll get to see them go on tour again but for anyone worried: They're not disbanding, they just have to find a new agency/label or build their own agency so send them lots of love and support, everyone!

I don't know much about The Rose but their song 'Baby' is amazing. Woosung is the member you described as 'his voice is everything', and yes, 'Face' is his solo song. I really appreciate you guys reacting to this song from a more music approach. Most people who react to this video overlook all the instrumental talents in this song. And you guys make extremely valid points. Most people won't even realize the piano complimenting the background. This song truly has a really refined garage vibe.

Sammy/Woosung (the leader/guitarist) is actually an American from California. But The Rose have said their genre is more like Britpop. They've cited Coldplay and The 1975 as some of their influences.

There are actually quite a few bands. They’re just not as mainstream in Korea as bands are outside of the country. N.Flying is great and their main vocal has to be one of the best vocalists I’ve heard. FT Island also has an absolutely killer main vocalist as well as a great lead vocal. Hongki (FT Island) & Hweseung (N.Flying) have a duet song that is gorgeous called ‘Still Love You’, more of a ballad or rock ballad. Other bands to check out: Rose Motel, DickPunks, Monni, Hoppipolla, Romantic Punch, Trax, Nell, Boohwal, IZ, ONEWE, Jannabi, Day6, Purple Rain to name a few lol

Thank you for reacting ❤ all of The Rose discography is amazing, you can react to any of their other songs anytime. They have more of a british rock influence that is why you get a coldplay feel. They started of busking before they joined their ex company. They recently left the company, and we are patiently waiting for what will happen in the future. And yes, Woosung is the lead vocal and also the guy who sang Face (his solo debut). These guys deserve a lot of attention, they really are amazing.

I think The Rose does not have any bad song. Their songs are superb!! They adore Coldplay so I think they are influenced by them. Hope u will react to them again. Besides from their own songs, their covers are also the best. I recommend u to react to Baby, She is in the rain, Red, Take me down, I dont know you and I. L. Y. And their cover of ILYSB and Yellow.

They really are better live. I saw them in 2019 and their instrumental versions on stage were better than their recorded music. They are the only kpop concert my punk rock hubby attended with me. Phenomenal musicians.

They worked fro free since they debut in 2017, and they finally took legal action agains their agency for not paying them. Unfortunately they will probably disband after that and it's sad because they are really good.

Nooo they can just go back to being an indie band. Why would they break up just because they signed to a horrible label? They were indie before, they even used to busk in the street and they took a long time searching for the right agency for them but ended up with a bad one. They can always just search for another agency again.
