I think this video is connected to the album notice how Abel is singing in the forefront while Carti is doing things in the background like he is reliving his past demons of his behaviors in purgatory and then he makes the sign of the cross at the end of the video that's what I think 😊

so, a popular theory of what timeless and possibly sao paolo mean in the context of the album is, that the The Weeknd persona is talking to Abel, specifically the line "if i was you, i would cut up my wrist". Basically telling the "new", healed Abel that his older self would never wanna transform out the partying-and-meaningless-sex lifestyle, almost mocking his future self. i think these songs will play a vital part in how the end of the weeknd will play out, either going into the light or be doomed forever because of his sins of the past.
