At the end of the video I mentioned that the solo in this song reminded me of the one in Winter Madness. I was mistaken! I meant to say it reminded me of the one in Death And The Healing! My bad :(

Wintersun easily is one of the best metal bands in this days thanks to the vision and inspiration of Mr. Jari Mäenpää.. You should react to the song Sons of Winter and Stars (also live rehearsal at sonic pump studios) 🤘and for the new album react to "Awaken from the dark Slumber (Spring)" you won't regret it.

I had this stuck in my head and I had no idea what song it was cause I was new to wintersun and then I found it again and was in awe it just grows and gets better with each listen Wintersun are one of my fav bands now I’m hooked! (Ur one of my fav reactors by the way cause the music moves u like it does me ur awesome ❤️)

After you've heard "Awaken From the Dark Slumber (Spring)", you might want to watch the fresh live show in Nummirock (Jari uploaded the whole show on his KZbin channel) where you can see Jari performing without the guitar. Although it was great to see him playing guitar in the shows, you can now understand why he said that because he had to multitask on playing and singing, it's a compromise on both. When he can focus on vocals only, his vocal performance is significantly better and it's better for him and for the audience. He also is able to enjoy performing a lot more and engage with the audience so overall it was a wise decision to drop the guitar.

That is a gift to be able to bring his emotions to you tru this song,he wrote this after he lost his dad When i heard it the first time it trow me back 15 years when i lost my father complete with the same emotions😭

Amazing reaction! I love it :) This song is so amazing that I listen to it at least ten times every day, usually a lot more. Each time it feels just as magical and surprising even than the first time. Fun fact: Jari actually isolated himself to solitude for a lengthy time to really be able to truly feel the song when he recorded his vocals and you can really feel his emotions in his voice. It's such a small detail, but it makes all the difference and elevates the song into new heights. All the vocals in the song are by Jari himself except the low backing growls, which are by the band's bassist, Jukka. Btw, his name is pronounced like Yari. The Finnish "J" is very soft and the Finnish "R" is much harder than the English R. I think the way Spanish people say "R" is very close.

For me the best song on the album, and one of the best that Wintersun has ever done. All the songs in the record are awesome in your own way, but this one... There's so much passion and emotion in this song, and that chorus...my god, really powerful. Hope soon you can react to Shade Empire - Anti Life Savior bro \m/

I made the mistake of listening to this album in the background the first time I listened to it, and as such didn't really get a good feeling of just how immensely powerful this song is, and now every single time I listen to this song I tear up, if you actually focus on the music it's so good

He sort of very cleanly and expansively lays out his particular harmonic talent, that he has shown in many riffs and song structures before. Maybe one could call it Wagnerian, though I have no idea about that (not even interested, frankly), it is just an attempt to describe the difference in approach.

It's actually not based of Vivialdi. Jari writes a lot of lines and material and noticed that three of the four songs that were ready for recording had a common theme, which are the Finnish seasons.
