This is not because of feminism. This is because women are perceived as weak, which is something feminism fights against. Because women are perceived as weak, a woman couldn't possibly hurt a man in people's minds.

As a male that was in an abusive relationship, this brought me to tears, and it's a serious issue that needs to be addressed. You see a million and one posters and campaigns for abused women, but at least 40% of cases are against men? Yes I do think there's a lot of sexism left in society, and it's for women, and against men. Especially men like me, built smaller, more sensitive, more emotionally aware and empathetic. Men that are quick to come to woman's defense against larger men, but laughed at when they're the victim.

+h5n6q I'm going my own way more so I can focus on my career. I now have the experience to see that coming, and will avoid it in the future. This hasn't lessened my view on women at all, to be clear.
@insertdisc21759 жыл бұрын
+h5n6q That's to blame on Feminists, not women. Do not become the same people they are. Do not stoop to sexism because there's a few bad ones. Remember that we are talking about Humans. All Humans, being life, and the same life as we, deserve our love and respect first and foremost for being here sharing our life experience. Don't lose sight that the only way we're going to fix these Human problems, male and female both, is by us each determining that Love is the only thing worth spreading, and the only thing that will lead us towards the lives we all want. Love unconditionally brother. Violence in self-defense. And don't lose your Humanity to Hate.
@insertdisc21759 жыл бұрын
And I'm hardly the first to say the average male looks down on women. It's people looking down on each other. None of these issues are gender specific, but each gender thinks it is. The only way to actually fix the issues is not to wage war against the other gender, but to look past genders entirely and just see people. And I don't know about your experiences, but as an actual, real victim of this situation, if I can say we can move past it, we can move past it.
@insertdisc21759 жыл бұрын
+h5n6q And now you sound the same as the feminists. The cycle continues. Let me know when the Matriarchy takes over from the Patriarchy.
@insertdisc21759 жыл бұрын
+h5n6q Okay, let me put you straight in the same way I put feminists straight. It's not men or women that control society. It's the Elite. And they own next to everything and control it all. Government, military, media, big pharma, etc etc. Now through their stranglehold on the media and pharma and government, they can bend society subtly over time. And they've done artificially created a lot of the problems we have now between the sexes by manipulating Western culture. TV alone over 90% of it is owned by five corporations. I can give you the numbers. And why would they create these problems? To keep us divided. Because divided, men vs women, races, religions, etc, we can't do anything threatening to them. If we want to fix a lot of these issues long term, we have to get rid of the Elite, both the government and the International Banksters/Wall Street, that control everything else. And we can't do that as a divided species. It has to be the 99% vs. the 1%, or even the 50% vs the 1%. But right now you have a ton of 5 and 10% vs the 1% and all the other 5 and 10%'s and that isn't going to work. When the power of love overtakes the love of power, then there will be peace. Until then, if you're not spreading love, you're spreading hate and feeding the system you actually don't like.

Shouldn't cheer for abuse of either, there was a time in movies and society where men slapped women in public, to stop their hysteria or getting uppity, and little boys could push little girls and it was cute because he's just expressing his interest in her, when it was just socially accepted abuses. Neither should hit the other, and if they do, they should get the same back in equal measure (same force of hit), and the law should apply equally. So yeah, no double standard, but no blaming the other to just build up hating them.

My cousin was in an abusive relationship. She would accuse him of cheating, and hit him. He would have to go as far as moving chairs and objects infront of her, to try and get away. Then she struck him in the head with a cast iron skillet, he was hospitalized for a few months with concussions. He is a good sized guy, not huge, but not a twig either. And he almost died to this woman, because he "couldent" fight back. Yes, she is smaller, but when someone is hitting you in the head with a 5 pound slab of iron, your not going to shrug it off. Dont let the idea of a woman being smaller, mean she is harmless. Anyone can hurt anyone, all you need is the proper scenario and a dangerous mind. I wonder how thoes people would have felt if she pulled a knife on the guy and stabbed him? Would they think she was "a harmless woman" then? Be aware of wolves in sheeps clothing.

Whilst both men and women may experience incidents of inter-personal violence, women are considerably more likely to experience repeated and severe forms of violence, including sexual violence. They are also more likely to have experienced sustained physical, psychological or emotional abuse, or violence which results in injury or death. I think this is why sometimes people tend to see abusive women lightly.. (don't get me wrong, it's wrong nonetheless) But men who are abused by women can pretty much easily move out of that situation because they are more capable physically to defend themselves.. but women on the other hand have more risks of getting brutally murdered by their abusive controlling men. In fact, abusive men will never let go of their woman and will do whatever it takes to control her life as if she is her property... so yeah, men gets abused, but lesser risks of being threatened for life. Men have more charisma to easily call out an abusive wife.. while women who calls out an abusive husband , usually, the abusive husband have already manipulated her friends/loved ones that he is a lovable person.. I know this because I've witnessed both sides of the coins personally.. the woman had a hard time getting out due to threats of murder or commiting suicide... while men can easily get out of an abusive relationship by cutting it off and the abusive woman can no longer do anything more.. I just hope many of you are more open-minded here... it's not a lie that billions of women have already been murdered by their abusive husbands/boyfriends due to intense rage of desire to control of jealousy. while it's not also a lie for men to be abused by women.. but men can defend himself if a woman gets out of hand.. while a woman who will try to defend herself from an abusive man will usually make things worst and get's more brutally beaten.. unless she's a trained martial artist.. So please, let's go at a more deeper perspective regarding this psychological behaviors between abusive men and women.
@mosipd8 жыл бұрын
Star mage _women are considerably more likely to experience repeated and severe forms of violence, including sexual violence._ *Perhaps you intended to say only when the violence is male on female; because if you're talking about overall rates of violence, including sexual assault, men experience far higher rates of violence than women do, on all levels. This extends to many other areas of life as well, not simply the criminal.* *Does it make it right? Of course not. Was my original comment a jab at the double standard? It sure was. But if you in any way, shape or form concluded that either I'm not aware of or care about violence against any sex, not just women, then perhaps you need to look elsewhere for validation.*
@twoface25468 жыл бұрын
@h5n6q - Okay, let's say men get seriously hurt! but doesn't change the fact that men can easily get out of that situation without the abusive woman taking over his life, let's leave out the shelters for a moment and see what he can do.. first off, as a man, it is usually normal that he has a charisma that can easily talk his family/friends out of that abusive woman, they will usually immediately believe him (or if he doesn't want to talk about it, then I believe he needs to find ways if he really wants to get out of an abusive relationship with a woman.) Now, the women who get seriously hurt by abusive men are more prone to having these men take over their entire lives... because usually high testosterone or masculine behaviors (take note, I did not say all men) are more inclined to exuding power and control, which then leads to them brutally destroying their woman physically to impose power and control, which always usually leads to murder, there are already thousands of cases happening on this to women.. and while men also get murdered by women, which is serious too, but is not the majority and that is the truth... it's not sexist to say that women are weaker physically but it is a fact, there are just some men who view feminism as a motivation to beat up their spouses because he "sees" them as equally strong as them.. but sometimes, feminism is no longer what it is supposed to be, because for me, it is supposed to be allowing both men and women to love and accept femininity (emotions, arts, expression and wonders) because men are usually taught to be all masculine and controlling that they get called "gay" or "pussy" if they want to be feminine which is really degrading their rights as a man and result to aggressive masculine behaviors instead, hence why most of the violent crimes committed towards both men and woman are by men! So yes, it is masculinity and high testosterone that causes such aggressive acts of violence towards both sexes, concluding that it is mostly men themselves that hurt other fellow men. and yes, women do this too, but women rarely get taught to act masculine and are more likely taught to submit and behave. And back to the issue of man to woman abuse... women have double the risk of physical dangers in abuses because again... they are physically weaker than the man that abused them and defending themselves usually results in a brutal murder... while men who get abused by women that defend themselves can easily outdo the abusive woman through full force and fully disarm her.. that's the difference I'm talking about... so now.. let me ask you mr. h5n6q, have you ever been abused by a woman before? do you know how it felt? have you tried talking to anyone about it? now, did you have a mother or sister or female friend being physically abused before? what have you observed? reflect...
@twoface25468 жыл бұрын
@mosipd - Male on female violence is just as rampant as male on male violence.. who does the violence on that huge percentage of male victims? isn't is still mostly male?? the male victim could not defend himself maybe because the criminal was stronger than him... imagine then the women being the victim.. worst could have happened to her... now let me ask you, have there been any issues of men being brutally murdered and raped by a woman? left at the sidewalks nude in an awkward sex position bathed in his own blood? nope, all these happens to woman ALL THE TIME.. which is what I wanted for people to know... because men usually view "equality" of modern day feminism as a new privilege to beat women because they are now viewed as equally stronger than them and view an abusive woman just as strong as an abusive man when in truth the average male can easily disarm an abusive woman but the average female cannot easily disarm an abusive man unless given the right conditions of being a trained martial artist or if luckily she is carrying a gun or knife somewhere. A woman cannot defend herself right from an abusive man unless if she really have to kill or get killed... while a man can usually just physically overpower an abusive woman without problems... if he allows the woman to abuse her, then why??? don't men usually tell woman who stays with abusive men to just leave cause she is just doing this to herself/? if so, then men should also just leave abusive women because it is his "fault" for staying with her.. Now with that said, it is never the victim's fault, man or woman... let's just try to look at a bigger perspective that women in average are physically weaker and are more prone to death from physical abuse in relationships.. while men on average can easily get out of a physically abusive relationships through his brute strength or will... If you must know, there are thousands of controlling and narcissistic men out there who would do the worst just so they can control their female spouses. in these cases, controlling men usually use beating a woman as a means to impose power over her, because they are mostly insecure and with low-self-esteem which is very dangerous for women... In fact, there have been many instances of these "men" who would then murder their wives and children if they can no longer "control" them. Everyone is at risk in any violence... but in relationships... Women have far dangers of being brutally murdered and raped and left for dead in the streets, bathed in her own inner-meat. Take note what I said... "Relationships""... violence in relationships, because that is what we're talking about here.. if we leave violent crimes for a moment and see violence in relationships as a whole, I think we can all agree that women are more likely to suffer prolonged and sustained physical, emotional and mental abuse from men... Now, mosipd and h5n6q, again.. I have witnessed both sides of the coin and have talked to both parties (man on woman vs. woman on man abuse)... and I can 100% conclude...that the abused women have the worst suffered physical injuries... which includes acids poured all over their face or a barbel being smacked into her head with full force... while most of the male victims I talked to suffered mostly scratches or slaps in the face... that was the big difference I have observed, while woman to man abuse is just as wrong, I just hope we don't dismiss the fact that men to woman abuse is indeed very deadly.. and I just wished people would start opening their minds and stop being blinded with the whole issue that woman to man abuse is more serious than that of the man to woman abuse.... man to woman abuse have been happening since the beginning of time. woman to man abuse are happening now mostly because some women tend to learn masculine behaviors in today's society.

Let's not be too quick to praise this group of women that called the cops. Think about what was said, "Some want to call the cops on "YOU GUYS" and "You shouldn't be hitting ONE ANOTHER, I was concerned for BOTH THEIR SAFETY." They simply couldn't allow themselves to fully commit to the idea that the man was THE victim. They called the cops because their peaceful evening was interrupted. They weren't concerned or outraged, they were annoyed. This program portrayed them as do-gooders when there's really nothing immediately exceptional about them. Further, at the end, the two women were far too pleased with themselves. No doubt they were told that they're heros.

By defending my self all I did was hold her arms tightly so she would stop hitting me with the kettle cord I was being whipped with. It wasn't until my neighbours realised they took me away that I was let out, as they could see through the window what was happening. Do you think they would then reversed the situation and take her into custody? No they didn't they told me I had to be sure to not be abusive and not to make her upset to a point she would do it again. Its ALWAYS the MANS fault, that's the problem. This is just sickening to watch. I don't see abuse as just a woman's problem. It can happen to ANYONE. My ex boyfriend admitted to me that he was badly abused by the girl he dated after me, She would often verbally and sometimes,(especially during the latter half of the relationship), physically abuse him. He eventually broke up with her but he is still scarred from the vicious abuse he endured and it's going to take him a long time to fully recover. In my book, abuse is abuse, no matter the victims and the perpetuators' genders.

Hi there. I am in the same boat with you. I have a very sweet brother who became a victim of an abusive girlfriend too. I saw how it affected his confidence as a man, and it really psychologically stressed him. In fact, his girlfriend lied to him about having 2 kids from a previous relationship. He would only know this 2 years in the relationship.
@TheBazinga31410 жыл бұрын
Teri Faustino Wow, I'm so sorry to hear about what your brother went through and his girlfriend sounds like twisted bitch. Though no children (real or made up) were involved in my ex's relationship, but she still hurt him badly, both physically and mentally. He seems like a totally different person from when I dated him. It really is a shame how society views this issue. I wish the best for you and your brother.
@terifaustino371410 жыл бұрын
TheBazinga314 Yeah my brother was too nice. His only fault was that he really wanted to break it up with the girl gently because she was blackmailing him all the time that she would kill herself. Ignorance is really a disease sister. Anyone is capable of abuse regardless of gender. And though women are generally less capable of physical abuse, they are very much capable of emotional and verbal abuse. Lets remember that physical pain subsides quickly, but verbal insults can last a lifetime.

Much like when men argue that a woman dressed or partying in manner that 'provoked' them to commit crimes against her because "she looked like she wanted it", "she deserved it". A large snapshot of the mindset of men against women. Hurting each other shouldn't have gender justifications for doing it or hurt feelings about , just don't do it to either. Eliminate double standards on both sides. Or it'll seem like you want a reason to hate instead.
@FitMan197311 жыл бұрын
What struck me, was even the few women who were prepared to help the man who was being abused, still perceived the situation as them "Hitting each other" even though it was the woman only hitting the man. She also said I felt they were both in danger, when again, only the woman was hitting the and abusing the man. So even when a man is clearly the victim, he is still seen as a perpetrator and a threat.

It's also sexist against men too i.e. "all men are strong and can handle themselves". When a man can't, people don't sympathise but mock him. It's the equivalent of saying "all Asians are good at mathematics"; it's technically "positive" but it has negative connotations and reinforces the fallacy.

Being stronger and having more muscle mass doesn't automatically mean that you have a higher pain threshold. It's also a well documented fact, that in domestic violence cases women use weapons more often than men do. Having a baseball bat wrapped around your head is going to hurt no matter who you are. If some random woman decides to attack me for absolutely no reason, I'm going to floor that bitch A.S.A.P. Equal rights, equal fights.

My situation was very real and I was in a 4 year relationship where I was going to be married. Me and my ex fiancee had a daughter and one day i was sitting on the couch holding our daughter who was just 6 months old, and we had gotten in a verbal argument and out of the blue she jumped ontop of me and started punching me in the face repeatedly while I was holding our kid. I was bleeding badly from my eye and nose. Blood was pouring out. She then went into the kitchen and grabbed the biggest knife she could and ran towards me. I was able to get away from the situation but I was hospitalized and almost died. Our daughter was safe but I was hurt badly. I had to swing at her to defend myself and a couple of my hits connected. I had multiple cuts to my arms and a stab gash wound to my right chest. I was lucky to survive. People are ignorant saying that just because it's a female that there's no threat. And people are ignorant for saying "well he must have cheated or her" or "he must have done something that caused the woman to get violent" or "it's ok if it's a woman because she's smaller". Unfortunately, they wouldn't. I'm sure you're aware, but our society has no interest in aiding a man who "can't support and defend himself". You see it everywhere, from suicide prevention campaigns, to domestic abuse and homeless shelters. You see it in rape victim support and awareness, and prostate cancer drives. Hell, there's even a faction of society that wants to end fathers day. That's why I gave up on women. I decided to become a MGTOW, and to be honest it feels good to not be stressing about the fact that I'm single, and don't have risky sex every night. I personally haven't been phsyically abused by a partner, but I haven't found a faithful woman, and one even threatened to call the police for sexual assault. And, the best part is that was my second rape-accusation threat. Yeah, our society has some serious issues recognizing females agency (and male disposability). I would suggest you watch some Karen Straughan videos, she's incredibly articulate and presents solid arguments with statistic to back it up.

take your brother, go on a vacation and teach him to say "no". his wife never is going to grow up. So he has to be strong now, and he needs all your support. When she goes on a tantrum, take out your phone and video her. Use that later on against her. In the end, it is about getting her under control, remember, she still acts like a child, and teach this women that you've got his back. And if it has to be, you guys will go to court, but it all depends on her behaving better in the future. get a routine of doing things that he wants to do. At this moment its very possible that he basically is a large marionette. Once you start helping your brother to be a person again (get a routine of spending time together, alone or with the kids, but not with that women), she will cry and whine and be furious, call all relatives to get support and she will go crazy. but don't let that affect you, go your way, make it clear that she has to get herself under control or you will go to court.

@anabelecatalao89899 жыл бұрын
Actually it's not feminism's fault, its patriarchy. You see, as men are seen as more powerful and strong they were expected to "control their women", nowadays that has changed a bit, decreasing the cases of men abusing women. However men are still expected to always be able to defend themselves which is not always possible. In an abusive relationship the victim is slowly subject to the abuser so they never fight back in any way (works for both scenarios). Women didn't use to report out of fear and men mostly out of shame. I've heard so many men saying " if he can't defend himself is just a pussy and deserves it". Don't get me wrong, a lot of women had said before "well she must have done something for him to do explode like that" in the other situation. Summing up: A lot of people are douchebags. Men and women. Any victim should get help and those who blame them or support the abuser should be ashamed of themselves. In a healthy relationship no one should hit or manipulate. That is not love. I am a feminist and I want equality. Not implant female supremacy, nor maintain the male one. Equality for some is not equality.

Okay women who said shit like; "Maybe he did something wrong, like maybe he cheated on her." or, "He looked guilty." If those are the reasons that you come up with for abuse, there is simply something wrong with you. None of the women that enjoyed what the abusive woman was doing had any thought that maybe he had beat her earlier or even laid hands on her in anyway. Cry about getting verbally assaulted or having a cheating man, write in your journal or something, verbally abuse him back... But, physical attacks based upon a non-violent offense or the "appearance of guilt" is retarded, you have got some serious issues if you think those are a good reason that a person man or woman should be physically attacked. Based on this social experiment, I fear that this could be another reason why America hasn't seen a female president, as it appears that 99% of the people, men and women, that walked by approved of her assault and deemed an alleged non-violent offense on the man's part as valid reason for her "pushing the button". And, the officer that took unprecedented joy in seeing this abuse take place and didn't do a thing about the assault should be terminated, yesterday!

If the guy defended himself and hit or held down the woman, I'll bet you my right arm that one of the passing strangers would've assumed that he was the attacker and taken the woman's side. Because that's the kind of shitty society we live in. Stop viewing people based on their sexes and start treating people like people instead of having unrealistic expectations of men (and women for that matter). EDIT: Wikipedia defines feminism as "a collection of movements and ideologies aimed at defining, establishing, and defending a state of *equal* political, economic, cultural, and social rights for women. This includes seeking to establish *equal* opportunities for women in education and employment. A feminist advocates or supports the rights and *equality* of women.", meaning you shouldn't blame feminists for this bullshit. Blame the female supremacists instead.

Jens Nielsen There are some decent (albeit misguided) feminists, I wont paint them all with one brush, but the feminists that do stuff and that make themselves seen are the extremist male-hating scum that want female superiority. I personally prefer the Honey Badgers/Humanists, who want equal rights and equal responsibility for both genders. Many feminists hate their guts because they are women and they actually want women to be held equally accountable for their actions as men. They recognize that the feminist movement has been hijacked and it is not as pure as it once was.

Men experience sexism too. The thing about sexism is sexists don't generally realise they are being sexist. It is not a conscious thought but a biased subconcious reaction. Many people saw this and assumed the man brought it upon himself. This is sexism. Because they made this assumption they allowed the abuse to continue.

I haven't heard the "law" yet. What is assault? Man slaps a woman in the face, no physical damage done, what would police do? Same situation with roles reversed what happens? I've know women, drunk and sober actually attack police and the police will restrain and calm her down and send her on her way. If a man even gets verbally aggressive and in their face what will happen? Check out court records, this isn't just with abuse cases. Women committing the same crimes as men and compare the conviction rates and sentences, it's amazing.

I once read a story recently where a woman abused her husband and whenever he stood up to her she would call the police and use them as her attack dogs to punish her husband when he disobeyed her, and she did this a lot throughout the course of severals years. After several years of being abused by her and sent to jail by her filing false reports against him to police he finally snapped and lost it. After one verbal exchange she once again went to the phone to get the cops to act has her attack dogs once more but this time the man snapped finally and killed her. There is only so much someone can take before they just snap and do the unthinkable.

I weep for the poor little effeminate boys now being raised, who are told chivalry is sexist, who grow up with the instilled feeling that they have only slightly more worth than a dildo or vibrator because unlike those, men can take out the trash..

h5n6q Never stood still to think that violence against women happens WAAAY more often? How is applauding that bad for men? We still live in a society where a man asking for help is seen as something ''shameful''. Most men than get raped, still feel way too ashamed to and even report it. It's horrible, and it's all because men are expected to be a certain way. A guy is expected to be strong, a girl is expected to be pretty. That's patriarchy, and sexism against women shackles men just as much.
@testertaster10 жыл бұрын
Well that's precisely the matter at hand Yua. It does not happen more often to women at all, its just that no one cares when it happens to men. The fact is that women are more than 10 times more likely to hit a man than the reverse. You only think this because of the pervasive and insidious feminist ideology, that has made everyone deny the evidence of their own experience. Look up 'riding the donkey backwards'. Pretty sad that people don't seem to care much about men being hit. Even tho men are usually stronger, women can be harmful too if they want. Also whats that bullshit about "I thought he cheated on her"? Even if he had done that (which you can't know), that doesn't justify physical assault. Talk about a man hitting a woman because he found her cheating...
@J_Rossi11 жыл бұрын
Don Sanchez - It is sad. I'm not for hitting women, but I've read of many examples of situations where a man and woman would be having a "domestic argument" or whatever and it was the woman that went for the weapon, be it a knife, a frying pan or what have you. The man defends himself by pinning the woman in place (NOT hitting or abusing in ANY way). A neighbor calls the cops and the man gets arrested without getting to explain the self defense. Both genders can be harmful, but if women get away with it, I believe it may be because men are too ashamed to admit to and report such abuses OR.....for all the good that chivalry can do, society may be "bent " to favor an image of women as "dainty" creatures that couldn't possibly perpetrate such acts of violence.

bowdowntosanta23 I never said domestic or sexual abuse was okay(For men or for women). The fact of the matter is that everyone in the video was willing to ignore the other perspective. I was just correlating that mentality to Feminism because it shows how some women are willing and able to turn off their ability to empathize with anyone other than themselves. This is where the very clear double standard shows itself. I know and understand that these kinds of abuses happen more to women than men, but people shouldn't ignore them or laugh them off or encourage them like the people in this video. The truth is, that feminists only care about women. Personally, I think both sides really need to be examined before making any decisions. Maybe I don't understand it completely but I just don't see any feminists pushing that ideology. If I'm saying something you don't agree with, instead of ignoring my viewpoints as ignorant, try to see where I and countless other men and women are coming from.

From someone I know who has been physically and emotionally abused by his ex-wife, this is real. It is abuse. If he were to fight back, his manipulative exwife would have tried to get him arrested and she taken full custody of kids. He feared for his kids' lives that he would never see his children again if he reported it to the police (because she would turn the story around). He waited until the kids were older to divorce her. It's not that easy for a man to "prove" he was abused by a woman. This is real and it is a REAL problem. Unfortunately, judges are just going to laugh at the situation and ask why the men didn't leave when it was first happening. What really makes me mad is that television shows joke about this stuff. The media should not be glorifying women abusing men. Nobody deserves this. Who gives women the right to do this to men? All this does is teach abusive women how to be entitled and "right" and blame their man for some problem they probably contributed to.

Hi, I am a woman and I do believe that society has this unfair double standards when it comes to this kind of abuse. If a woman is physically or verbally abused by a man, we always come to the rescue of the victim without even trying to hear both sides of the story. But when the tables are turned, its so easy for us to assume that the guy "deserved it" simply because of the understood norm that men are generally more capable of physically hurting a woman. Or are more generally polygamous. I thinks this standard should be changed, because abuse against any human being regardless of sex age color culture or religion should never be tolerated. I also wanna say I feel sorry for the lady in this video who showed approval of this type of abuse, just because it was a woman who was giving all the beating. To me thats just ignorant. And why would I be proud as a woman, seeing another woman who has no class or refinement?

@Rhy2412TitanGamer11 жыл бұрын
Let me give an example of a common way woman emotionally abuse men: You're in a relationship with a woman whom, at the moment is somewhat irritated and angry over something. She wants to talk about it because she wants to feel loved, cared for, and accepted. You, seeing how irritated and angry she is, decides to put up a 'wall,' blocking your emotion because you want to try to handle this rationally. You say "Let's talk about this later", not wanting a verbal or physical fight to happen in front of your kid Her, feeling unloved and neglected demands that both of you talk about it. You sense the hostility in her voice go up. You say "No, not now." Enraged by this she loses control and starts verbally attacking you by saying "real men don't do x, real men do x, and listen to their wife!" You, feeling hurt by what she said, start getting angry and more emotionally unresponsive, still trying to do the rational thing, you tell her to calm down. This proves to do the exact opposite, making her much more angry. She decides to pick up the nearby vase and attempts to throw it to vent her anger. You decide to grab her by her hand in which has the vase in it, preventing her from throwing it. Everything seems to slow down, she has fear in her eyes, but she cracks a slight smile on her face and says "What are you gonna do? Hit me?" You, at the peak of your emotional capacity let go of her hand and proceed to punch the floor/wall, letting her know you've reached your limit. Instead of realizing her wrongdoings in this eruption of emotional distress she says "If you hit me I will call the police and take everything away from you. Your money, your confidence, and your kid." You feel absolutely horrible, because you don't want to let her have your kid (who knows what she'll do or say), you mostly can't get help as people will bash and question you, she demands many things and becomes destructive and abusive if her wants aren't satisfied. You feeling 'trapped' in this never-ending cycle of torment, feel like crying your eyes out, but doing that will only make her bash you even more, hurting your feelings for showing your sadness over this distressful situation. You try to walk away from this, but she quickly moves around you and blocks your way to your room (which is a form of abuse), saying "No, not until we talk about this." You, feeling utterly unloved, neglected, and frankly powerless say "There's nothing to talk about." The process then repeats over and over.

Some men are physically abused by women to the extent that they fear to go home after work, but they stick it out for their kids. I know a guy that was stabbed by his wife and the police did nothing but offer him a trip to the ER. Women want to be treated as equals, but they also want to continue to receive special treatment because of being "a weak little women". Men and women both need to go back to their traditional roles so that society will get back on the right track. Maybe the divorce rate wouldn't be 50% anymore.

6:00 While the sentiment overall was okay by that group of women intervening, there was an element of what they said which is about being worried for _both_ of them. Not that she should be stopped because she's doing the wrong thing, but that it's okay for now, but while the female abuser can't make it any worse, _he_ can.

Hi I am a woman, and I just would like to share something to everyone. I have a brother who was a victim of an abusive girlfriend. I know many of you may think that women are less capable of abuse against men. But believe me, my brother is the sweetest guy you will ever meet. He has no vices, he works hard, and is very romantic, and patient. But his girlfriend was just such a bitch. She was unreasonably demanding, She instigates fight in public places to humiliate my brother, sometimes she would even harass him through phone calls early in the morning, or when he is at work. Worst of all she uses emotional blackmail all the time. She would use her heart condition, or threaten my brother to kill herself when she does not have things her way. I know my brother could appear to be a little bit of a push-over. But that does not mean he deserved all of this abuse from her. We as a family chose to not interfere because it was after all a private matter. Then it came to a point that my brother found out that her girlfriend had 2 kids from a previous relationship he was never told about. My brother wanted to leave the relationship, but her girlfriend wouldn't let him go. She even threatened to kill herself if he did. Thats the time we all interevened and helped him cut all ties with this woman. I hope the message gets across here to not tolerate abuse in any form. When you see a man being harassed in public by a bitch of a girlfriend, dont ever think that he deserves it. In the first place no human being deserves that. Think of what you'd feel if they guy was your brother or your son.

You are merely seeing the result of excusing bad behavior and punishing good behavior. Your brother is made to suffer, and she gets off scot free, no one even considering she was capable of it. Prepare yourself, when the population starts to decline further, life will become more cold, depressing and impersonal.
@terifaustino371410 жыл бұрын
Michael Burns Actually, we did feel that something was just not right, and we did try to talk to him. Of course as mature adults we would have wanted them to settle their issues by themselves. Thats how it usually works, family should not intervene immediately and directly when it comes to relationship problems. Yes you are right, my brother was too nice. But that does not mean he deserved all that abuse. What if it was a sister? Would you be saying the same thing? Because she was too nice, she deserves all that abuse? Or will you apply a double standard on this one, because she is a woman there is no excuse for her boyfriend to abuse her.

My ex gf hit me in the face a few days after we broke up, some bystanders laughed while she was standing there and I was recovering from the shock, because she wasn't that kind of girl before so that came out of nowhere. Then I hit her back right in the face and prepared myself because I knew those bystanders would come for me, and I was right. As soon as she started crying holding her cheek those 4 guys came over for me. They seemed ready to fight but as soon as they saw I had my hand on my jacket, they just protected her and I walked away. She didn't had the nerve to call the cops on me after that but I have heard horror stories about the man being incarcerated with only the word of the woman, and considering that she had witnesses I would've ended in jail even when she hit me first.

My ex wife got arrested for attacking me one night (it wasn't the first time she attacked me). That was almost 3 years ago and still have the scar on my arm from where she bit me like a pitbull. I had to rip my arm out of her mouth cause she wasn't letting go.

When I was in the military, my superior officer was a woman, she slapped me several times. Once because I didn't get my work done in a timely fashion, another time because I didn't clean my desk (I was trying to finish my work) when she wanted to leave for the day, and a third time because I was sarcastic. This was in a small command with about 300 military personnel. Did it matter? No, if it were the other way around? I would've not only been stopped for hitting a woman but also for a superior officer even if I were defending myself.

For a long time (13 years approx.) my brother has been domestically abused by my younger sister. Every attempt to reason with her to stop was futile as she was beyond reason. There was literally nothing in my power that I could do. One day, she had driven my brother to the thought of suicide as his suffering was so bad... If I wasn't there to heal him emotionally and give him the will to move on, I dread to think what could have happened. Fortunately, he will be leaving to another country soon, as he is done with this one. I respect his decision, as the supreme hypocrisy of feminism that has poisoned this nation is enough to destroy someone. But really, I am just glad that he could survive such torture for so long.

h5n6q Thank you for your concern. First of all, my parents were separated, so only my mother could handle things, which, as you could guess, didn't work out very well in the end. My sister became uncontrollably spoiled, entitled, and manipulative. She ended up controlling my mother as well. And as for legal action, this has been considered many times as well, but approaching it in the right way without making it seem like _she_ was the one being abused was very difficult to do. In every case, it would have been easy for her to play the victim and pin the blame on her older brother even if he was speaking the truth about the situation. My brother and I hope to take proper legal action, but for now the best thing to do is to get away from her and sort things out from there. So long as my sister has even the slightest leverage on someone, she can manipulate a story and guilt trip others into oblivion. Don't worry though, she'll get what she deserves in due time: tough love.

I really want to see them do this with the (nationwide?) Commercial where Mindy walks up to a guy and states groping his chest since she "felt invisible" and when he gets mad about being felt up she just says "hey, there are worse things than having an attractive woman grab you" people would FLIP if a guy used that excuse to feel up a woman.

+h5n6q At least one kind of feminism does need to self-correct: the liberal "fun feminism" that centers itself around whether men's dicks are happy. That's not what feminism is for. But more generally, your problem isn't with feminism, it's with patriarchy. That's something we're all brainwashed into from a very early age and even feminists can be guilty of it. But most women spouting feminist-sounding cliches don't identify as feminist in the first place. They throw around terms like "equality" and "empowerment" like they know what they're talking about but they're still centering their lives around men and subscribing to the same tired old sexist ideas about relationships. And that's where the women come from who think it's OK to hit a man who hasn't hit them first, and who think a guy getting kicked in the nuts is funny.

14 years ago?! And were still in the same place. I was strangled by my female abuser in October of 2021. I broke out and ran to another room. When I told her I'd call the police she said she would just tell them I abused her..After getting her to leave by throwing some of her things outside she admitted to abusing me on police cam footage the next morning. But she lied and said that I threatened her with a firearm after she assaulted me. No such thing happened. Cops told her to get a restraining order. I spent all of my savings to hire legal defense against her false allegations. She ended up settling out of court. She had me pay her money to drop the false charges. Some danger she was in. My own lawyer said I didn't have a chance even with all of the evidence against her because I was a man. And because men are seen as more capable of initiating and starting violent interactions. It didn't matter that she admitted on police cam footage that the physical altercation started when she shoved me to the ground. And that she went on to put both of her hands around my neck.

The fact that people didn't defend the guy being hit by a woman I'd probably down to the toxic standards for men that have been perpetuated by a patriarchal society. Men are expected to defend themselves, being the "stronger" gender. I think the people walking past have been conditioned by a society that continues to spread this belief. It's not fair to assume that a whole gender is stronger than another. Patriarchy encourages domestic abuse of all kinds.

What typical Feminist tripe. Oh of course it's men's fault that women are domestic abusers. Women never do anything of their own accord. They certainly can't think for themselves. It must have been men making them do it. Patriarchy hahahahahahaha. We better get Sherlock Holmes in here to investigate this conspiracy, along with the Yeti and Wonder Woman.
@unravellings179210 жыл бұрын
Berserkism literally nothing to do with what I said. I'm NOT saying women can't think for themselves. I am saying that having a society that has been largely dominated by men for a long time has created a way in which we wrongly profile people of certain genders as having certain traits i.e as demonstrated in this video, people don't bother helping the poor men that are being abused, as patriarchy has raised them to believe that men are meant to be strong. By patriarchy's awful standards for men, any man who can't defend himself is weak, and deserves the lack of help for not being "manly" enough. You would have to be a fool to not see how patriarchy harms everyone.
@TheTheMaxxx10 жыл бұрын
The reason why people didn't intervene to help is because of patriarchy? That, literally, does not make sense.
@SansevieriaMedia Жыл бұрын
All of the people who did nothing, or worse yet, assumed he must have deserved it, should be ashamed of themselves. All domestic violence is wrong. I have confronted abusers of both sexes, and called the cops right in front of them, pepper spray ready in one hand in case I have to defend myself. #AbuseHasNoGender
@equariuz354611 жыл бұрын
Even the women who called the cops didn't REALLY call the cops on the woman who was hitting him. They said "a couple is fighting" more or less, not "a woman is assaulting a man". If it was the other way around you can believe they would say "a man is assaulting a woman".
@qaz1234567818 жыл бұрын
As a girl I was always taught by my parents that I had no more right to hit my brother than he did to hit me. If I ever hit him even though I might not have physically harmed him I was in for the hiding of my life from my parents. It is not alright to hit anyone no matter their sex, especially when the woman can hit a man but if he retaliates or defends himself he is the bad guy. I hate these double standards.
