Tom and Nova songs all have such great messages. Gives me faith and hope for music again. I was never a big rap/hip hop guy. Really diverted from it after the Beastie Boys era and listened to more Rock/metal/hair bands. Tom and Nova have brought me back in a big way to the genre though. Have all the albums even though I don’t even have a CD player now but felt so strongly they needed support for what they do.

Guy had road rage, almost hit us was on his cell telling someone this b#tch etc just pulled into me. When he drifted into our lane then followed us into parking lot. To scream at us. I used to joke that it was impossible to be mad while holding a bright red balloon and a piece of chocolate cake. You'd feel stupid stomping around while doing it. What you said about the colors he chose resonated with me and brought back that joke. Tom's visual acumen when making his videos is very evident. It encompasses the color theory you bring up, the unicorn (which you also brought up) and the overall visual tone of the piece being used to enhance the lyrics of the song itself. He seems to understand that the visual medium of a video should add to the experience of the song. There are many videos that try so hard to be "artistic" that they fail on one of the most fundamental elements of any artistic medium which is to communicate. He does this right. Watching the video feels like a distinct experience to just listening to the song alone. The fact that it's funny and he's clearly having a good time with it only reinforces that.

I've recently had conversations with a few people about either certain people or groups of people. The conversations were about hate, and I got the feeling that they don't understand that they have hate for the subject at hand. The reason why is that when I mentioned that they hated that person or group, they were extremely quick to say that, "they do not hate", but being hypocritical at the same time because they show nothing but hate to that person or group. Crazy to think that if the whole Mac Lethal “beef” wouldn’t of happened when it did, we would be watching a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT INTERPRETATION OF THIS VIDEO!!!! The original shoot was scheduled for when Mac Lethal ran off with his fingers online & Tom said “Hold up. Wait a Minute.” & canceled the original shoot to record his “Lethal Injection” video, then “Mac Lethal Sucks” following. So Tom lost out on $3500-$4000 on the other video idea, but he didn’t want to continue with the same thing afterwards & then we were presented with this glorious moment in history with Tom MacDonalds “Buttholes”.
