Dude honestly, I wanna believe both you and Tom were meant to be on this world to work together on an album. Your two minds, plus the right music to go along with the words, you could help so many people. Artofkickz you gotta try and pull some strings to meet up with Tom Macdonald and talk.

You know my turn.... I don't typically get emotional as a marine.... But yesterday i was dealing with a brother (fellow veteran) that lost all of his benefits because of his drinking and smoking weed and his wife is now making him choose between her and alcohol.... Because she's not going to watch him kill himself... His PTSD and depression was really high i think we got him on the right track the va accepted him after hours of arguing with them to medically detox then rehab for him.... But i really needed this.... Much love for tom and for you for reacting to this....

God bless you for that. I don't even know if I should make this comment but three of my closest friends are disabled combat vets and they're just not in good shape and too damn stubborn to use the VA benefits to get help. We as men need to do everything we can to make sure we're not putting a gun in our mouth or drinking ourselves or drugging ourselves to death. the world needs us. Hell the world needs YOU... whoever you are out there that might happen to read this comment.

This was heavy... whew. A lot of good stuff in this one, both with Tom MacDonald's words and your thoughts and interjections. Still working on being comfortable by myself, even though it's my preference - and a lot of stuff, from food to sex to drugs, can be used for numbing the pain. In my case, it's KZbin and chocolate. But no matter what it is, even if it's supposedly healthy for you? The mere fact that you're eating, or doing something, in order to numb yourself is poisonous. Some things just hurt more than others. And sometimes, taking something, with the _intention_ of growing, getting better, or healing, and coming face to face with that part of yourself that needs attention, is the key. Like you said, it's the thought and the emotion attached to it that's most important for so much. Finding that which fuels you, and works through the pain or brings in life and vitality, and helps you heal, is what I've found to help up to this point. I'm not 100% yet, but I'm getting there. Hope you're doing good, bro; a lot of us in a tough spot right now with artists like Nipsey leaving us unexpectedly in such shocking ways. Much love.

An some of use are better off with it. When I was on kepra for seizures I lost balance control to the point I was a fall risk not even allowed to walk across the room of my own accord as well as other side effects. Still had at least a seizure a month. Now I live in a medically legal state. Completely off the kepra no longer a fall risk and no seizures in 8 months
@JoshuaC0rbit3 жыл бұрын
Man I'm glad you had a resolution. keppra was awful for me. it made me literally want to murder people. Turns out my epilepsy is not curable by drugs. I'm drug free these days and as expected I have a lot more seizures and a lot more injuries but it sure as hell is better than keppra or trileptal.
@JoshuaC0rbit3 жыл бұрын
8 months is awesome. I'm happy for you because I know firsthand what kind of a journey it can be. Broken furniture unexplained bruises blood loss etc it's not a fun time. I only usually have about one big seizure a month these days but that is still suboptimal because it's almost cost me my life at least three times. I gave up driving sold my race cars and I used to actually teach people how to drive fast on a racetrack so that was a kind of a big deal.

I relish these days, when u comment on the meaningful (and not just the popular jamz). Man, @ 4:10 when u break it down about how ppl “can’t relate to what ur going thru and the struggle u have within u,” I got goosebumps!! U GET IT - so few get it. Been seein a therapist (what a douche) for over 2 years now bc of something traumatic I went thru not too long ago, AND YES, that’s how I feel. He (therapist) doesn’t get it. None of his words /advice hit home cuz I know he doesn’t get it. U GET IT, and I appreciate ur videos SOOO much bc I see u’ve felt what I felt / feel (different level, different circumstance, I’m sure). And that’s why I don’t miss any of ur videos.

I hang with a group of ~10 guys regularly, have since about sixth grade (~10-15 years of friendship). Our friendship has basically always been about smoking bowls together and getting drunk. I'm struggling, trying to figure out who I am and how I become who I need to be in life, using weed and drinking everyday. This cuts deeper than any blade you can find.

artofkickz this reaction is probably my second favorite reaction you’ve done. This hit home so hard. This past Christmas Eve I found out that my wife had been cheating on me and was leaving me for the guy she had been seeing. The day after Christmas I had to have a multi-level fusion done on my spine. Started popping pills and drinking and smoking weed. All things that I had given up previously for my son. The struggle and depression was very real for me and I almost ended my life. It was your reaction to iamtherealak issues that stopped me. Your words saved my life that day. I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart because if not for you my son would be growing up without his dad right now. So thank you so much for what you do.
