Mina was on hiatus for a long period of time because she was struggling with her mental health. She didn't promote with twice during this time as she was recovering. The completed dance practice was when she came back after her hiatus to the stage and was better. Feel Special was written with the help of JYP to reflect off of this with all the members.

As others have mentioned, this song is highly regarded by TWICE due to the numerous issues they faced in 2019 so your observation on their emotion on this song is pretty spot on! I would also like to add that, although not really known outside of the Kpop sphere, TWICE actually writes their songs-especially their B sides. Hope you'll check them out ❤️

TWICE's concept change started on 2019 through "Fancy", while 2018 was their peak "cute" era because they had the pop brightness of 2017 TWICE while occasionally dipping into sophisticated pop like present day TWICE. With that said, "What Is Love?" is a 2018 song of theirs that I personally love and I look forward to your reaction to it. The MV has major nods to many films in pop culture so it would be interesting to see how a "boomer" would fare in recognizing all of the cinematic inspiration in the song. Your vids are great, btw. Happy to see the 9 ladies get a 10 from you!!!

Feel special is my favorite twice song, too. I like its duality - a dancey bop but with sad lyrics.

I started listening to Twice (kpop) in 2020. I don't listen to their old songs much, the only exception is concerts, they go very well in concert. I am a huge fan of EWO-TOL and FOL albums, I listen like crazy. EWO and FOL are amazing albums, it's like they were made for me (except for the title track Scientist, I love the MV, the girls are amazing but I couldn't warm to the song). Coming to "Feel Special", I think it's a great song, it has great lyrics, all the girls are gorgeous during the Feel Special era, the MV is so elegant, the dance choreography is just right.Feel Special is really special to me and I'm sure all Twice fans think that way too..

As someone who values the lyrics more than the beat, Twice's best songs for me are the ones they've written themselves, which is why Feel Special is my favorite album. Although they've already written a lot of bsides since 2016, FS is their most personal album. Feel Special is about them written by JYP and the rest of the bsides were all written by them (21:29 was written by all members) ❤️ Likey is also one of my favorite title tracks lyric-wise; it's one of those songs that just gives me instant serotonin boost 😅
