2:50 As you know, Italy doesn't select the song for ESC as the other countries, the winner of Sanremo Festival has the chance to participate. Sanremo winner is voted by 1/3 experts (producers, radio stations, journalists...), 1/3 the orchestra (technics) and 1/3 public opinion. The result is a mix of good lyrics, good melody and trend style. This song about essential things (essenziale) as "Giorgio Armani black&white" is never out of fashion.

It’s an interesting and good concept. Every time I watch performances from it I’m so happy to hear the live orchestra. I’m sad they don’t have that in esc any more. 🥲
