I didn't even know Yike was supposed to be Yike (or was that Hans Sama?) and Guma with the hoodie of Xayah almost missed him, but when he got pulled by Keria's Thresh chain then it made sense. Bin's hairstyle should have been captured at least, if not for BLG's flag/insignia, I would have thought it was Deft on the MV. 😅 My niece draws faces better that Rito's animators for sure.

Also Imagine Dragons did a song for League Worlds too and they werent in the video at all so I dont know why people use that argument as well.

I personally enjoy the current year getting hyped much more. As a sidenote, don't get the "perfect material" argument. Sure, it's a nice story but it's all T1 vs LPL and they want to include other regions.

Then show T1's struggle throughout the year (Faker's injury, their summer struggle) until they lift the trophy again. Linkin Park is hosting a consort inside the palace with expensive ticket prices and the tickets were sold out. As a result, Bin, Chovy, Caps, and other players all want to go in to watch LP without a ticket. However, the security team consisting of T1 members was there to only allow ticket holders into the concert hall. In the end the security team leader, Faker, comes out to deal with the mob himself.

The amount of cope to say it's just T1 fans. It's lack of consideration for players after so many bangers in the past is clear. The music is definitely in my ballpark, it's the stuff from my high school days, another generic LP song, but I'm watching Worlds for the story of these players, the live performances are OK, but it's never the reason I'm watching worlds. T1 can always make it in this video since they are the reigning champs, so they could have not made worlds and still be in the video, but what about the players from the other regions, who directed this shxt. It feels so disrespectful especially when you compare it to old worlds mvs.

In my opinion, this year's MV should have been in a 2 times period 1 where they tell the story of worlds 2023, with the LPL vs T1 storyline, Ruler Scout TheShy all of the classic and maybe show BLG (with bin) defeated to later on show em as the first seed of LPL and a real threat to the LCK / Worlds 2024 trophy 2 what they put in the actual MV (minus certain things and maybe a better representation of the asian players, Guma on Varus and Keria on Bard) They could have done something better with more meaning, if they removed the linkin park self insert into the mv with all the screen time they add maybe put more instrumental for the beginning to make story telling easier Last year New Jeans weren't in their MV despite them being a kpop group, they are known to love brand deals and earning money through ads and making themselves visible yet they didn't and we had a really good MV (the music was really good in my opinion, better than this one)

I'm not a T1 fan but when the title of the anthem is "Heavy is The Crown", then everyone sort of expects how Faker and T1 came back from their bad performances in 2023 LCK summer to becoming the only LCK remaining in the best of four, and how they won the worlds in the home soil- moreover it's Faker's 4th win after 7 years. They should focus on this narrative then featuring worthless LP. Also there were so many mistakes in the video- Oner didn't play Viego and Keria didn't play Nautilus during the entirety of last year's worlds. Also people couldn't recognize who Bin and Chovy were in the video. My suspicion is that Riot paid LP way more than what they had. Then they chose a creator of the video who was willing to do the job with much less pay and this crap is what we get. Complete disaster.

I think my major issue with all this is that people think its T1 fans complaining about this MV - but i am with Caedrel on this - its not just T1 fans - i am sure every single league player who follows league content would have a problem with this MV. No reason Massu or the Red Canids player should be in the video at all. Linkin Park should also be removed from the video, it just doesn't make sense. They should have used a player from LPL or LCK that actually is from a competitive roster from previous years. FLY and Red Canids arent going far anyway and Massu doesn't have a rookie of the year/player of the world level year to be in this. No shot any Korean/Chinese or most EU fans even know who the guy is. RISE video should just be a template for Riot at this point. Top level world reknown players as their best known champs, rinse and repeat with new animation and song.

As a LP fan aswell as League i really like that they were featured in the music video since first of all, well it is their song (for the League worlds anthem sure, but still), and it kinda feels like their new lead singer is also picking up the crown from Chester and it is a damn heavy crown to wield. Which is similar to Faker making it again after 7 years (which is also how many years it is since Chester unfortunately left us). And what is all this that they are disrespecting his storyline and doesnt show how much struggle it was for him to get back here? Like other world songs have faker as a background character guiding new talents to the crown but in this one he is the fricking king/emperor putting his crown away and emerging like a goddamn stud ready to defend what is his. Everything with this video was hella good, but especially Faker.

I was so hyped when LP were announced for the Worlds song, and I really love what they came up with for the music. I liked the bits of the video with the LoL players, and I didn't have a big problem with the narrative of T1 defending the crown and Faker deciding to fight with his team. It seemed like a good narrative. But I wish they'd included more nods to last year, like Faker's injury, the gauntlet. If they'd reduced the LP appearances down, I think they could have done something amazing with this. I also wish they'd added a couple more recognisable players, especially from teams who made it really far last Worlds. Could've at least had Weibo in there

Phoenix in particular is well liked because it showed marquee players and what theyre going through while showing stuff from their past. Legends never Die wasnt about any particular player, same with Warriors. But at least they're relevant. Actual League champions going through hardship just like PRO players. Highlighting similarities. its a different but acceptable take. Warriors was a shoutout to the fans playing the game. They told a story, and focused on what's important. Even Ignite for how eh the beats are in that song, people still rewatch because they pay homage to popular plays. They are relevant. Why is Worlds Collide not popular despite being a good song? Well the MV sucks, it told no story, put out no hype.

Legends Never Die focused more on the actual league champs and Take Over had a random OC fight people from the distant past. Could you imagine if they did that today? Too me it seems that there ambition was to put in characters that finished first instead of 100 percent guessing. So to actually do animation work while waiting for results they put in the band to fill in time because this time they didint have alot of time to animate the winners of each region. So they animated all t1 portions and band portions then put the rest in as they won. Probably wouldint have been possible without the padding.
