No había escuchado que dijeran que el concierto fue horrendo, estuvo genial en su totalidad. Lo único malo que le veo a la banda en general es Zeta como vocalista en conciertos. Y especifico en conciertos pues Zeta le va muy bien a Mägo como vocalista, más ya que hicieron canciones para su estilo, pero en los conciertos no es lo que se espera de Mägo, a mi punto de vista. Puedes ver en varias partes de este video ( y de otros del concierto) donde el resto de la banda pone el ambiente bailando en el escenario, pero Zeta es una tabla. Hasta da pena ajena en un concierto de Saurom donde invitaron a Zeta y a Patricia, Miguel y Paty poniendo el ambiente y Zeta parado al lado de ellos. Alguna ves me dijeron "ni que le pagaran por bailar, le pagan por cantar"... Pues siendo que espero ver Mägo de Oz entonces te podría decir que también debería de estar incluido, sino ve al resto de la banda.

Mago de Oz is a Spanish Folk-Metal band, the song is a criticism of religions. They tell us with a dialogue (00:00 to 07:00 approx.) and a poetic monologue about the burning of a person at the hands of the inquisition for believing in 'profane' things... basically for being free to believe. The band is from Galicia, a region of Spain where the bagpipe is a traditional instrument, that's why they make a small cameo. And the prayer at the end of the song is worth being translated.

Ok so I’ve seen the comments and nobody explained really what this is about, mago de oz is even deeper than just music every song has a story actually every album, this is a story about the inquisition to explain it better its literally like a short book every song means something… this is the last song, in the inquisition there is a woman she is about to be killed/ murdered in the fire, there are different roles people play in this there is the inquisitor, the person that guards the woman they are about to kill, the inquisitor says to her “redeem yourself this is the time that you can regret of loving the god of nature and start adoring catholic religion” there is the guard that made a conexion with the person they are about to kill and he says “i dont want to be here i have to but dont want to” there is gaia which is the woman telling her “dont worry i will help you i eill protect you” this specific song starts basically at the “trial” or moments just before she is about to get killed during the song she actually gets killed on fire and there is the last part that says “now im finally air” thats just after she dies, the whole 21 minutes are a critic about the church and their time in the inquisition time. The song finishes beautifully. In a prayer asking “god” to be more human like to help with tings that matter the prayer asks for a more human god. This song is a pice of art there is no other word for that just a pice of art… just my favorite song in all times To make clear the last part is a prayer is called the psalm of the disinherited basically what the prayer is saying is. Please god we dont need three. We need only one god that will be willing to help to do something we suffer rapists hunger Its goes like this (sorry for my not so good english im doing my best to translate) Our father of all of us of the poor of the homeless of the out cast and of the ones that have no one to protect them Of the disinherited and of the owners of missery Of the ones that follows you and of the people that in you dont believe anymore (talking in first person like including himslef in the prayer) Come down from the sky, because here is hell, come down from your throne cause here are wars hunger injustice, you dont have to be 3 gods… with one one that feels like helping would be enough, what is your realm? Also, no, the Orchestra is invited, as well as the bagppipes and the Dead-Alike Chorus. If you want something like that, Haggard is a Metal group with a symphony, being a 20 piece band in every record and show. Heavily recommended.

Mägo is really great. It sounds Irish because it's a (Celtic) Folk Metal, and they use several Irish jigs and reels in their songs. This video is with the current singer, who has been with the band since 2011, but I srsly recommend anything live with their previous vocalist, José Andrëa (1995-2011), who is probably the best Castilian-Speaking Metal singer.

He tenido la suerte de verles en directo 2 veces, una en la gira de Gaia II y otra en la del último disco Bandera Negra, lastima que no tocaron en directo la cantata. Es exclusiva de conciertos muy especiales, así que quien vió este concierto es muy afortunado o afortunada.

Viene diabulus in opera ll igual en cdmx arena mexico 27 de mayo 2023 tengo mis boletos y ruego por que la canten nuevamente esta vez, ya que en aquel 2017 no pude asistir al diabulus in opera, si eres de mexico no lo pienses compra tus boletos ya, yo soy de otra ciudad y no lo pense dos veces tendre que viajar en avion para ir a ese magnifico concierto que x lo que escuche celebran tambien sus 35 años de trayectoria :)

To give you an idea of what you're listening. Mago de Oz is a Spanish folk- metal band. The cantata is a big musical composition that involves multiple vocals and melodies, that's why is so long, think of it like listening Verdi's Traviata but in metal. Most of MDO songs are correlated among the album. In this specific case, this song is from the album Gaia, which is a trilogy (this song is in the second volume, the lost voice). The whole trilogy narrative is related to the period when Spanish discovered and conquered the new world (America) and each song is a piece of the storyline of the trilogy. La cantata del diablo, as a part of the album, talks about the judge and execution of a woman who claims, being the reencarnación of Gaia (mother nature). There are different singers cause each singer has a part of the song. One is the narrator, one is the jury, and the woman singer is Gaia. Finally the song ends with "the psalm of the unprotected". Which is a criticism to the Catholic church. You must check the history of the three albums cause all are connected.
