Actually, the sound they had it was in a big part because of SKAY, the lead guitar, lived in Europe for a short period of time during the 60's. I believe it was during or a little bit after the Mayo Francés. He brought that rock sound (and the Marshalls) with him. You can see that influence very clearly on their first album. It is called GULP! if you want to check it out

The funny thing is the lyrics translation were quite accurate!! But that's how Indio writes... incredible effective and memorable verses but strange and cryptic indeed. A little more accurate translation of both times you paused may be: "(A former rugby prop) spread syrup from the neck" and "An old lemon pay his bills". Even for Argentinians his age is not obvious at all what "syrup from the neck" or "an old lemon" mean.

Los recitales de LOS REDONDITOS tienen su historia ... producción independiente de boca en boca y llegar a ... bueno usted es rockero así que lo entiende . Hi bro! I´ll try to explain that "an old lemon saves him" SH(/t. Indio´s fomer band (redonditos de ricota) has a song called "me matan limon" (they are killing me lemon). That song lyrics tell the story of the very last moments of Pablo Escobar Gaviria alive (the famous colombian drug lord who was killed in the 90s). The thing is in those last moments Escobar was only protected by one sicario/bodyguard... whose nickname was "Limón / Lemon". So In this song.. when he says "an old lemon saves him", he means that an old bodyguard saves his a$$. Hoping i was clear, I salute you from San Juan, Argentina. Big fan of your reactions.
