This is my favorite Lovebites song by far. Under reacted to, but too good. They get the initial attention for the serious thrash and power metal songs, but their songs like this, Swan Song, Edge of the World, really define them as a band

Ok, time to learn their names cold: Haruna - drums (2016-present) Midori - guitars, backing vocals (2016-present) (blonde ponytail) Miyako - guitars, keyboards, backing vocals, main composer (2016-present) (dark hair) Asami - lead vocals, writes a lot of the lyrics (2016-present) Miho - bass, backing vocals, founder and bandleader (2016-2021) wrote some of their thrashier songs, eg. Thunder Vengeance Thanks for coming back around to them, they deserve the attention.

They used Michael Jackson beat it as the riff on this song that is what you where hearing, it’s a creative way of using an iconic riff but still making it sound like an original & I agree with you they don’t have a bad song

People keep saying that, but if you go and listen to Michael Jackson's Beat it, it is not the same. The FEEL is the same, but riff? not synth, not even base line really.

@@markoviitanen2671 The interesting thing is this: there are different versions of that old Michael Jackson song. Especially the guitar solo part. Eddie Van Halen wrote that, but he didn't want official credit for it back then. There is a shortened version of the solo that doesn't have this riff on it. The extended version has the riff.

Love the reaction. I think the riff you are thinking of is by Eddie Van Halen in Michael Jacksons Beat It. Van Halen is one of the influences Lovebites pays homage to. 🤘🤘🤘🐺

How the hell did you guys sneak this Reaction totally by me, and I'm Subbed too - guess I've been doing too much babysitting. Rollen - since you're looking back at Mi-ya (what her loyal fans call her - and how she was listed on Lovebites' first recording), there is lots of stuff about other members too. Midori was in an earlier band called Gekijo METALicche back in 2015 and there are several videos of them. Miho and Haruna were in Destrose, right before they founded Lovebites, a very popular band until they broke up - videos available for them as well. Mi-ya also was in A Drop of Joker 2010-2015 and 21g 2012-2017. There are also some videos of early Asami. The 21st Century with social media and KZbin makes it possible now to trace the careers of musicians you discover and watch their growth as musicians and performers. I LOVE it! Have fun on the Hunt. The riff's similar to Motorhead - No Class, but different enough that it's not immediately obvious. More Motorhead than Michael Jackson anyway, I'm not sure why people keep saying that.

Are you talking about 21G or Drop of a Joker with Miyako, which is her two former bands, many will say Michael Jackson's beat it, but I say more like Eddie Van Halen's typical style and riffs from their first album and Van Halen II

a lot of commenters say it sounds like michael jackson's 'beat it. sorry but i have to disagree. the only thing to me that's similar is maybe the beat but that's it. just listened again for comparison for about the 10th time and the riff to me is quite different. and a lot better. still love mj and i have his off the wall album that i bought new in '79 - one of my favorite lp's ever but i'll take lovebites all day long and 10 times on sundays
