This song reminds me so much of my old friend group. I remember I wasn't in a good mental state and they just kept making things worse for me for no reason at all. I don't know, they didn't care to sympathize with me or understand what I was going through. They just compared me with them without being reminded that we were different people and everyone lives things differently. Something that sticked to me was once one of my friends made a comment along the lines of "I get like celebrating one year clean of SH but not every time you don't do it" and at that time I was really struggling with SH and I couldn't stop doing it and I felt that my little accomplishments were not worth celebrating, only big ones. Now I'm 10 months clean and the people who really care about me celebrated with me every little milestone that led me to being almost a year clean. Everyone is different, everyone has their own struggles and if you recognize that and celebrate what to you might be small but to the other is something significant, congrats, you are a good friend and person.

there is a lot of people who say the screaming and banging is Melanie’s abusive ex but after all the backlash her ex got, she had to make a public announcement to not hate on him because they are on good terms and she also confirmed that it is not her ex banging

Another toxic relationship song - it could be career, family, lover - and they’re using and hurting her. The outro noise of the guy yelling is probably the abuser trying to get to Melanie, who’s hiding from them as she mentioned she tries to do in the song
