Too bad you aren't on the CMA committee. Apparently they snubbed this young man. First time ever hearing of him myself but if this song topped the charts for as long as I'm reading about then surely they could've shown some decency in at least one or more of however many categories he was nominated in. Your enthusiasm drew me into give it a listen and I think it may be a good song too, more than likely will end up listening to it in its entirety after this.

The music video is simple yet has so much meaning. The back drop used may be paying homage to Soft White Underbelly; a KZbin channel dedicated to giving the forgotten an outlet to tell their story of struggles. Such a meaningful touch.
