The whole "Gambit energizing Wolverine's Claws" bit intrigues me. I know that Gambit's powers allow him to impart kinetic energy to objects making them combust like his playing cards, pool balls, even tiny screws at one point. But what would happen to the claws. Would they explode upon impact or is this similar to the red hot molten claws at one point that melt thru stuff.

That's only one aspect of Gambit's ability. Gambit can manipulate kinetic energy, even within his own body. It's one of the reasons he's so agile and can move the way he can. From what I've researched, Gambit charging Wolverine's claws will allow Wolverine to direct that energy into whatever the cuts with the claws.

Gambit has charged his staff to make the physical blows explosive when he's doing physical combat and the staff is fine even after. I imagine Logan will be fine. It's a very cool thing to be curious about though

Its actually like strengthening his claws. He makes his Bo staff strong without exploding it either. His mutant power isnt making things explode. It is converting energy into kinetic energy. Being explosive is just an effect of it.
