For all the stuff disney has done to star wars, they really have made Vader go from a semi-intimidating individual who's ruthlessness we've only heard of in the comics to bringing that rage to the mainstage. Rogue One. Jedi: Fallen Order. Rebels. Kenobi. They really have brought Vaders true dark side out and it's beautiful and terrifying simultaneously

It also makes 4-6 just that more powerful. There never was a hope of beating him. He was always too strong. Luke (or Leia) could only ever reach him, bring him back. His fight with Obi-wan in ANH was never a real fight, but Vader toying with him, waiting for leia to escape. His fight with Luke in ESB is the same, which we all knew, but it now shows just how little effort Vader exerted in that fight. Again, never about defeating Luke but converting him.

Vader is still learning from Obi Wan as seen here. It’s so neat to see that no matter what, they’re still Master and Student. His need for victory (in this sense, capturing Kenobi) blinded him. Just as Obi said in the flash back.

Vader not only stops a ship at full thrust, but also brings it down to the planet and shuts it off before ripping it to shreds. That is the Vader we all wanted. He literally one-upped Yoda's scene in Empire Strikes Back

YES!!!! Thy moment that we all saw in that scene is glorious, Vader totally pulled off a Starkiller/Ahsoka moment as it’s a demonstration to his raw power in the force. After all, Anakin is strong in the force even after his conversion to the dark side, if he kept his limbs intact, he’ll be twice as powerful. I’m super hyped for this week’s finale, let’s go!!!

Say what you will about how Disney has handled Star Wars, but one thing they have absolutely fucking nailed, is the sheer "unfuckwithable" energy of Darth Vader! Seriously, the absolute power this dude exudes in the new canon is unbelievable, and I love it! It's something which has been alluded to in Legends material, but actually seeing it come to life is mesmerizing! From pulling a ship out of the sky (then ripping it apart like scrap paper), to leveling the Fortress Inquisitorious - this is the scariest Vader has ever been!

Sidious told the Yoda that Vader would become more powerful than both of them. After Mustafar, Vader was reduced to 75% of Anakin's potential and that's what he could do? You know how all Jedi/Sith always use their hands when lifting things, throwing things, mind control, mind read, lightning, etc...? From Yoda to Palpatine they all do it. But Vader has NO arms/hands! All his arm/hand movements is just for the visuals. He could have stopped the ship and ripped it apart just standing there with no movement (which I think it would show just how powerful he really is) but its not dramatic. lol!

So messed up at how happy these reviewers were to see Vader stop a ship, yet either seeming disappointment to no reaction when Obi Wan and the others escape. Should have been the other way around because these were the same people rooting for Grogu to be rescued and crying because Master Jedi Luke came to rescue him. They should have been just as happy that the people escaped from Vader.
